An idea I’m implementing in my life:
The 1-6-4 Method.
Popularized by entrepreneur and author Jesse Itzler, it’s a foolproof way to make sure you always have fun planned throughout the year.
1. Plan one big “year-making” event
This is inspired by the Japanese concept of Misogi (a challenging annual endeavor).
Pick one massive defining challenge or event for the year that pushes you to grow past your limits:
• A long endurance event (like a marathon)
• A big personal project (like finally starting that side business)
• Something transformative (like a multi-day solo backpacking trip)
This’ll act as the anchor for your year.
2. Schedule 6 mini-adventures for every other month
Lock in one small, exciting experience every other month (6 per year):
• Going camping at a national park
• Traveling on vacation to a place you’ve never been
• Attending a music festival where your favorite artist is performing
• Hosting a group of friends for a dinner party and game night
• Explore a new part of your city that you’ve always wanted to visit
3. Implement a winning habit every quarter
Add one positive, compounding habit every 3 months (4 per year).
It could be drinking more water, walking 10k steps per day, meditating, being on time, or any small routine that improves your life.
These are your building blocks for long-term growth.
—
We’ve become bad at leisure.
The digital world isn’t bringing as much joy to our lives.
Having alternative choices (using the 1-6-4 Method) to look forward to throughout the year makes life so much more enjoyable.
And remember:
Put these on your calendar so they actually happen rather than staying as ideas.
Cheers to more joy this year and beyond. 🥂

“Sister Debbie, how do I know who to marry?”
I can’t tell you the number of times I get this message
I want to share something with you and it may get a bit gory so please brace yourself
I got pregnant immediately after our wedding and when I was 6 months pregnant, my water broke prematurely and I had to be admitted.
You know this story already.
What you don’t know is the behind the scenes
It was not funny. I was leaking amniotic fluid day in and day out. At times it was dripping at times it was gushing.
My husband and I were the only ones facing something we both have never faced. Our marriage was just 6 months old.
Because of the severity of what was happening, we had to be super careful and manage my movements so the water does not leak too much and so that the amniotic fluid is still enough to carry my baby till at least 35 weeks
I looked so horrible because I couldn’t bathe for days at a time.
If you saw my hair? You would just run. Because I couldn’t afford any movement so grooming was a luxury I could not afford.
There were times out of nowhere I would just start bleeding
There were times I could not do “number two”. Because apparently being stationary does not allow you have good bowel movements.
One day it got so bad I thought I would die. My husband was in the toilet with me as I was trying to do this and it was not working. This man was ready to help bring this thing out if possible.
I told you it was gory.
Yet there was not day my husband did not look at me like was the prettiest woman in the world.
Every he had to still work.
He would cook and bring to the hospital every single day, go to work, cook and bring again, and sleep on the hard chair beside my bed
We did this for 3 months.
Now let me answer this question:
Marry someone that can do hard things with you and for you.
Marry someone that thinks you’re beautiful even when your hair is not combed and your mouth is not brushed yet.
Marry someone that when hard times show up, they roll up their sleeeves and say “what can I do”?
Life is hard. And even though we don’t pray for it the truth is that sometimes storms show up.
Marry a partner who is good in the storm. Who is emotionally stable enough to brace storms.
Who won’t say he went to sleep with another woman because you were pregnant or you’re healing from postpartum wounds
Anybody can love you when you have on a pretty dress and smell like daffodils dipped in chocolate vanilla
Only a “husband” can love you even on days when bathing brushing are luxuries you can’t afford
Blessings!
Nigeria is bleeding, and my heart is breaking
Every headline is another wound. Every injustice, every life cut short, leaves families shattered and in pain.
Today, I pray over Nigeria with everything in me.
Father, we ask for Your mercy over Nigeria.
Heal our land.
Heal our leaders.
Heal the broken hearts of families who are grieving, confused, and tired.
Let Your justice roll like a mighty river across this nation.
Lord, arise for Nigeria.
Silence the voice of wickedness.
Break the hold of corruption, violence, and fear.
Raise leaders who walk in wisdom, courage, and compassion.
Restore peace to our streets, hope to our youth, and stability to our nation.
We declare that Nigeria will not sink.
Nigeria will not die.
Nigeria will not be swallowed by darkness.
We speak life over our economy, our security, our families, and our future.
Father, strengthen those who feel helpless.
Comfort those who are mourning.
Protect every Nigerian, home and abroad.
Nigeria, arise.
Your healing has started.
Your restoration will not be delayed.
And your glory will shine again, in the name of Jesus.
Amen.
@Mrpossidez I stay in Uyo. I host poetry, music and jazz shows. Worked on this one in forever and it's drained me immensely. It's in two days. Would love it so much if you knew people around the city that would love to attend or support by purchasing a ticket or two. 🙏🏼
Declare this; THIS WEEK I CONNECT WITH THE RIGHT PEOPLE 🙏🏼

I want nothing, know nothing and have no plans or ambition.
I simply want to work for Jesus, and really like him.
He has the most fascinating global projects and I'm grateful to be part of some of them.
I was telling my mentor today that if anyone had told me that a relationship with the Holy Ghost could be like this, I would have been a serious follower a long time ago. Better late than never.
I'm enjoying a front row seat as he unfolds global events, and I am happy to be doing work I like.
Moreso, I genuinely love the tribe he is introducing me to. Solid people who love from the heart and will defend me and the things that matter to me with their lives. It's overwhelming to be loved by God and by people who love God.
Pastor @nathanielblow , thank you for these 25 days of the @hallelujahchallengelive .
Thank you for creating a space where we meet God with no pretense, no performance, just raw hunger and worship.
God is using one yes
to shift millions.
There are men who build stages.
And there are men who build altars.
You do not just lead worship.
You build altars.
You break chains.
You open gates.
And while the world celebrates what we see
Only heaven sees what we do not see.
The sleepless nights.
The weight.
The warfare.
Encounter Jesus this Sunday
Come with a heart ready for worship and a spirit open for transformation.
Your breakthrough is just one encounter away
