@js9inningsmedia It was a strike at the front plane of the plate, BUUUUT the ABS zone doesn’t cover that. It’s 8.5” back from the front. Breaking balls are squeezed by the ABS zone. Fix it @MLB
There’s a way to change the optics of making the money. Empty stands. Just don’t buy a ticket. Don’t get suckered into cheap tickets. Take a stand and make them play in an empty stadium. What’s the incentive to change if everyone keeps showing up? Don’t show up, send a big message, get results. Make it happen.
@_nateschwartz New NFL rule, as long as you jump before leaving the field of play, it's a catch when you land OB with the ball? gotta survive the ground or contact obviously 🤣
@Hogdale_ May be time for Cora to go. Didn’t even realize Bello struck out Smith and then he kept getting pitches and drove in even more runs. Fundamentals from the players are not there. These are culture/attention-to-detail issues. Coaching/management doesn’t appear to be happening.
If home plate represented ABS zone.
I’m all for this…love it, but everyone commenting needs to know/remember: the new digital strike zone (that doesn’t 100% conform to the actual strike zone) isn’t entirely accurate. It’s just a vertical plane 8.5” from the front of the plate. According to the actual rules, these missed pitches (depending on pitcher arm, pitch type and location) were probably in fact strikes when the ball crossed the plate - if the plane were at the front of the plate and represented the real strike zone. Would love to see the @MLB implement an ABS system that accurately depicts the strike zone to reward pitching and not make the zone smaller for hitter and increased scoring. We see how increased scoring is working for the @NBA … 🤡

@PatMcAfeeShow Please look into how the ABS zone doesn’t fully represent the real strike zone. Have a conversation about it with @tyschmit . Pitches with movement are being misrepresented by the simplified zone that doesn’t represent the real strike zone.
