Wouldn’t you want someone to take an oath on what they truly believe in? If an MP swore on a book they don’t follow, what meaning would that oath even have? Allowing them to swear on the Quran ensures they’re pledging their loyalty with sincerity and integrity just as a Christian does with the Bible. It’s about truth, not exclusion. And from my understanding “I swear by almighty Allah” literally means “I swear by almighty god” lol you’re pathetic

I can tell you’re very uneducated we should deport you to mars. The U.S. Constitution explicitly protects freedom of religion fyi (First Amendment), and there was never a law banning Muslims in 1952. The Immigration and Nationality Act of 1952 (McCarran-Walter Act) actually upholds religious freedom! and does not single out any faith for exclusion. Spreading misinformation and advocating for mass deportation based on religion is not only unconstitutional but also fundamentally un-American.
