9 years ago today I lost the most important person in my life. I wagered making a post about this but he is such a fundamental part of who I am, I cant hide away from it. My brother Casey Llewellyn McDonnell is the single greatest person I have ever known. All of what I do today has been and always will be for him. I don’t know how to express in words how frustrating it is to know that my brother will never be able to see all that I have built. Even through his name I try to live through him. Cayde is a family crest. It’s a merger between my two oldest brothers Casey and Wayde. Casey showed me everything I create today. He was player one, I’ll always remember him spawn camping me in halo, refusing to revive me when I’d have the raygun, stealing all of my studs in Lego Star Wars. It’s silly to look back on but those memories are so precious and all I want to do is go back. We lost Casey in 2017, and the number one thing I heard after his passing was to never give up, never stop painting never stop creating. He loved my art then, I wish so badly he could see what I do now. He was always my number one supporter, I pushed and pushed and pushed because that’s what he expected from me. I wish the world could have met him, I wish you guys could know personally how amazing this kid was. He fought every single day and it was like he never could escape his life. I hope that there’s solace in his rest. He deserves it.
