@brad_polumbo@AlexanderPayton In the case of Khalil he’s not even here on a visa he’s a green card holder. That’s why Rubio had to cite the INA. “potentially serious adverse foreign policy consequences for the US” Really? Cmon! Proponents of liberty should be deeply troubled by Rubio’s actions. It was gross.
@wanyeburkett Respect. My intuition tells me the spirituality part, however imprecisely defined, is the baby that is thrown out with the bathwater wrt societal decline in religiosity. Altruism, detachment from materialism, sacredness, orientation. But not necessarily the metaphysical.
@AlexanderPayton Are you familiar w @MattBruenig perspective on work requirements? How do you reconcile work requirements adding cost to the program and often depriving otherwise deserving people from accessing their benefits?
@AlexanderPayton Incredibly reductionist. Do you really believe it’s that simple? Good guys and bad guys?
My family was violently expelled from their home in 1948. Property confiscated. Home ransacked. My great grandfathers car riddled with bullets as he fled. But it’s a one-sided problem?
@AlexanderPayton Ally Financial falsely claimed my wife returned her leased car damaged, with no proof, and charged us thousands. We refused to pay, they sent debt collectors. Her credit score tanked. Hours of calls and numerous emails, the only thing that worked was filing a CFPB report. FWIW
@DMC_Ryan In disbelief she’s 7.5 already. Still remember your heart warming tribute to Maggie on Unlocked and was glad to see your joy when you got Daisy. It’s clear your pups are lucky to have you, and vice versa!
@JonHaidt I’ve searched AfterBabel for a good retort to those who claim KOSA paves the way for government overreach on free-speech. Respect your opinion a lot. Curious to know how you think about that as a risk.
@AlexanderPayton@TheChowderhead But a point I’m curious to know your response to: is it ethical or desirable to have privatized for-profit health insurance companies? If you take their billions in profits and instead approve more treatments and save more lives, isn’t that a better system?
@AlexanderPayton@TheChowderhead I think I see where you’re going with this. The only person “denying” treatment is presumably the healthcare providers or pharmaceutical companies who refuse to (or cannot) provide their services below a certain price point.
@RedNinetyFour First legitimately bad game I’ve seen from Amen this season. Ime at one point clearly frustrated with him used his 3rd to last timeout in the 3Q just to pull him from the game. He didn’t play much the rest of the game. Sloppy play all around.
@Luceobrien So the 81 million who vote for one candidate should sever social ties with the 74 million voting for another?
Also, isn’t generalizing whole groups of people based on immutable characteristics a bad call? I thought everyone who’s not racist agreed on that.
@HannahDCox Is it thanks to unions or is it thanks to the fact that the number of people required to create entertainment for the public is far fewer than the number of people who would like to work in the entertainment industry?
