The best thing about frieren is, we live in a society that pushes a work hard play hard mentality and when you watch frieren you watch characters that have this huge journey ahead of them, who are some of the most powerful characters, and yet they take the time to help others, learn about each other, and enjoy the little things.

We watch small things happen like a character getting food or picking out a gift because these things are actually what define most of our lives and not some big goal we accomplished.

It’s a show that will remind you life will be okay, take it slow, and to not take what you have in front of you for granted.

I honestly really get how we're all feeling after the streamer awards...

The general public may consider us a niche and at times it may feel like we're not taken seriously but we've done so many good things this year despite it's turbulence and I think that deserves a spotlight right now more than ever.

Charity:
- When the Vshojo news broke, Mouse and the community banded together and raised over a million dollars for the immune deficiency fund.

- This year for the VTuber Summer Slam 1500 VTubers banded together and raised over half a million for sick kids in need.

- Vex and her community raised almost $100,000 for breast cancer awareness. Vex has been a shining light for breast cancer education and awareness and continues to inspire and support others.

- 40 streamers, 12 artists, 8 communities, 7 partner brands banded together for the VRCharity event, collectively raising $51,000 and this year as a whole, VTubers and the Gaming community have raised, in total, close to one million for Trans Lifeline. Providing support and resources to Trans people in need.

- Just this month, Zentreya has raised over $100,000 for Make A Wish with more days to come. Despite a very turbulent month for her she still stood up and did something for a good cause for kids in need.

and this is just only a few instances of the good done for charity this year...

Achievements:
- Despite the collapse of many vtuber agencies, vtubers have shown amazing resilience. Creating their own groups or taking these otherwise negative situations and coming out on top as indie creators.

- Hololive Vtuber Sakura Miko won the award for Content Creator of the Year at the Game Awards.

- We had the largest VTubing convention in the world this year with the hololive SUPER EXPO. Drawing in a whopping 35,000 people over the span of two days.

- Ironmouse was listed as one of the top 25 Most Influential Social Media Influencers and Creators of 2025 by The Rolling Stone.

- Hoshimachi Suisei being featured on the cover of Forbes Japan for their "30 under 30" segment. Acknowledging her achievements as a young artist and influencer.

- January 1st, Neuro-Sama (Created by Vedal987) broke the record for highest level hype train at level 111.

This is genuinely only some of the achievements this year.. there were so many it was genuinely hard to choose.

Honorable Mentions:
I wanna use this section to shout out some of the creators that I genuinely think deserve a spotlight going in to the end of the year.

- @eloyinterviews: Eric is an older gentlemen with a career background in radio hosting. He made it a goal to interview any and every vtuber he can, falling in love with the medium, giving genuine and very entertaining interviews for your favorite streamers and hidden gems alike regardless of numbers. At this time, Eric has interviewed 720 Vtubers total.

- @shindags: Shindigs has been a powerhouse in stream innovation, this year especially, creating tonnes of new ideas for streamer interactivity, overlays and tech. Inspiring all of us to keep aiming higher and to keep creating.

- @sasi974cheese and @AusTubers: In my home turf, Sasi and her team have done incredible things this year for the Australian Vtuber community. Giving us more places to meet other creators, network, make friends and collaborate. They have also worked incredibly hard to bring more VTuber presence to Australian conventions.

- @Artistreccs: In a sea of AI slop this account singlehandedly has given spotlight to quite literally thousands of artists, dedicating an insane amount of time to making sure people in the industry have access to artwork at affordable prices.

I know this may not seem like much but this is genuinely only a small handful of the good things that happened this year. Keep creating, keep inspiring and most of all go into 2026 with positivity and kindness. Things may seem bleak now but we can always be the change and innovation that we need.
