Today, I am launching Alokik. It's an AI app design tool that supports both Mobile and Web designs.

It's the first beta version of the app. There are many updates planned, and I will be building in public from now on.

It's my first big product launch, and I worked really hard to make it work. Hope you all try it and give your feedback : )

Btw, it's entirely made in @tan_stack Start. I was able to deploy it entirely on Cloudflare Workers bcoz it.

Payments powered by @dodopayments.

[Vishal Lohar @yourcodebuddy]

@joshuacirjak Hmm. Really? Btw. I'm interested :)

[Vishal Lohar @yourcodebuddy]

@pcshipp Yeah. I have the same storage variant, and most of the time It's either the pnpm/npm cache, AI chats, or the Turborepo build cache.

[Vishal Lohar @yourcodebuddy]

I like all your products. The only feedback I have is to use better ingredients. E.g Amul uses food colours that are not on the FDA-approved list, and Europe requires a warning label when they are used.

I know you are following all the Indian rules, but that's what stops me from buying these products.

[Vishal Lohar @yourcodebuddy]

Damn! I missed this offer. Can someone from @claudeai share this again? I will subscribe to Claude Max 20x plan if you do 😁😁😁

[Vishal Lohar @yourcodebuddy]

@jonathan_wilke We just need better tools that can use these models effectively

[Vishal Lohar @yourcodebuddy]

@DealsDhamaka Useless Store Credit. Got 10K, bought overpriced Buds 2A, and sold them later. Nothing on their official site is worth buying. You can get discounts or products for cheaper on other sites

Rahul Gandhi’s reply to Elon Musk’s tweet today exposes two things that define Rahul Gandhi’s and the Congress ecosystem’s politics. Nothing exposes them better than this one tweet.

First, when discussions were going on last year about Starlink’s possible entry into India, the Congress party opposed it, alleging that this was being done to support businessmen close to Prime Minister Modi. They even brought in the national security angle to oppose Starlink’s entry.

And now, the same Rahul Gandhi has made a complete U-turn and is pushing for Starlink’s entry into India. He has not only reversed his party’s stand from a few months ago, but has also conveniently forgotten the national security arguments his own party had raised then.

This shows that Rahul Gandhi’s opposition is simply for the sake of opposition. When they thought the Modi government was supporting Starlink, they opposed it. Now, when they think the government is opposing it, they are supporting Starlink.

They can sway whichever way they want, as long as it is to oppose Modi. Principles, consistency and even national security can be conveniently forgotten.

Second, look at what has happened today and how history has parallels to this.

Rahul Gandhi is supporting a foreign businessman because he believes Indian businessmen are close to the Prime Minister. He seems willing to welcome a foreign businessman to challenge Indian businesses simply because he believes those businesses support Modi.

This reminds us of Jaichand. There are many such examples in Indian history where our own people sided with foreign interests to further their individual political ambitions. Every time, such choices cost the nation dearly. These divisions and betrayals contributed to centuries of foreign domination and subjugation.

Rahul Gandhi seems determined to replay the same textbook.

But this time, the consequences could extend beyond political hegemony to technological and economic dependence as well.

And for what? Just to oppose Modi?

Will you oppose India just to oppose Modi, Mr. Rahul Gandhi?

It is unfortunate that we have a Leader of Opposition like you, Mr. Rahul Gandhi.

[Kamal Haasan @ikamalhaasan]

Mr. Musk, yes, no billionaire should dictate a nation’s policy - Indian or American.

India must welcome competition in satellite internet, from Indian and global providers, whoever offers the most practical and affordable last-mile solution for those in remote regions. In countries with lower per-capita incomes, satellite internet must be affordable too. High subscription fees and equipment costs risk putting it beyond the reach of ordinary households. Connectivity must bridge the digital divide, not create a new one.

India knows our networks and spectrum are strategic infrastructure, not merely commercial assets. India’s national security safeguards are non-negotiable.

Every country makes choices based on its own interests. Those in the West cannot preach free markets while practicing protectionism at home. USA imposed 100% tariffs on Chinese EVs to protect its domestic industry, just as India takes measures to protect its own domestic manufacturers. Both India and the US have restricted Huawei over security concerns. One cannot demand a level playing field from others only when it suits its own agenda.

Indians will internally debate, question and address our strengths and shortcomings as a democratic country.

Take BharatNet, India’s programme to bring broadband to village-level local bodies. We will question why, as the CAG’s 2026 audit report found, the programme is struggling to meet its original objectives. Why were only 33.2% of service-ready Gram Panchayats operational, despite ₹39,888 crore being spent? At the same time, we know to appreciate our telecom sector and regulations, which has made internet data among the world’s most affordable, bringing millions online.

India is a democracy, not a colony. We welcome the world, but we, the Indian people, will decide our own future - not Western vested interests, their double standards or any billionaire - Indian or American.

[Sanjay Lazar @sjlazars]

Hey @elonmusk you attacked 1.4 billion Indians, not Mr.Ambani.

It does not insult Mr Ambani or Reliance; it berates 1.4 billion Indians & the world’s largest democracy! We have a DEMOCRATICALLY elected PM & everyone knows who he is, including Mr.Musk, and his name is NOT Ambani.

I rubbed my eyes twice and wondered if Elon's X account had been hacked. For a man of his standing to even post something like this is pathetic.

Before I discuss the larger issues on hand, let us first understand the STARLINK facts -

1. STARLINK has had a GMPCS license in India since 2025
2. Starlink was granted in-space authorisation in Jul 25
3. As per Starlink officials, Starlink India was being set up (Jan 2026)
4. Starlink's application is now stuck at the security clearance stage, along with Jio SES and One Web, belonging to Reliance and Airtel respectively.

So what is Elon crying about?

India will do what is best for her security, sovereignty, and integrity. Just because you are the richest doesnt mean you can buy India!

We have the cheapest data packages in the world & we dont want to pay more; we also dont want our nation to lose out on national security issues. A prudent businessman would have stood along with the other two companies who are being shut out with you, not fought them.

Let me only say, that your tweet has UNITED many more Indians behind our Prime Minister @narendramodi than before.

This, coupled with the US Govt's actions against Indian IT companies & the US move on Russian Oil, makes it obvious what is happening.

Elon, we dont see the US allowing BYD into the US, do we ? or is that fair trade ? Have you heard of "Connected car ban" or should we just assume that it was tesla that forced that ?

Hey, what about tax credit bans (FEOC rules) against Chinese EV battery manufacturers who dont get the Federal EV tax credit, so only a special US EV maker gets it ? Cozy isnt it ??

Dear @RahulGandhi, you may have been too young to remember, but do read about an Iron Lady of India, Mrs.Gandhi, who, it seems, only shared a name with you.

When pushed & harangued by Nixon & Kissinger in 1971, she spoke in French, and then walked out of the White House, rather than be insulted by trash.

She flew back to India and called opposition leaders, including Vajpayee ji, to form a consensus for the 1971 war; that is Nationalism, a concept too alien to you.
When she thought it was necessary, she exploded Pokhran and faced global sanctions but did it for the country.

Your own party had a different stance on Starlink in India, and now you're siding with Musk over their security clearance? (Or are you wishing this was those 2G scam days of UPA? )

Shameful is all I can say.

India has her own security considerations and will take her own time to decide.

Healthy dialogue is always important for greater understanding. The real lesson here is understanding India and this truth: you want to do business with India, you respect the country first and then, secondly, talk to PM @narendramodi and the Indian Government. Period.

Furthermore, the PM and India would never bypass its own business talent and national contributors, in this case Mr. Ambani Ji and Mr. Adani Ji, for a foreign company, Starlink. Especially in matters of national security. The PM is elected to protect the homeland and promote “India First” in a free enterprise. The rural areas of India are better served by homegrown companies. And the best diplomacy and strategy for American interest in India, my dear @elonmusk, should be towards partnering with Indian companies to elevate the Indian people. A greater force for good is a Ambani-Adani-Musk alliance for India’s rural areas! 🇺🇸🇮🇳

As for all you “Rahul trolls” on X, many of you are young people with great potential. You can continue circling the fictitious narrative that Rahul will be PM of India. Meanwhile, the @BJP-led NDA and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay's Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) have emerged as the dominant forces in the October 2026 by-elections, with all six constituencies across four states and Union Territories going in their favour. The results dealt a setback to Congress, TMC, DMK and AIADMK, none of which secured a victory. Governance is won through elections. Voting is power. Not trolling on X.

Honestly, if @RahulGandhi loved his country as much as he criticizes his country, and spent more time advancing the positives of the PM’s transformative policies, he could be taken seriously to lead India. But, I digress. PM Modi elected consistently over a span of 25 years, 12 years as PM, is not by chance. There is divinity attached to the PM’s longevity, real inspiration, in addition to his acumen as a serial visionary and global strategic force.

So carry on my dears with Rahul as your fictitious hero. PM Modi is India’s real hero. God bless you all. 🇺🇸🇮🇳

Nobody in India is against villages getting internet, Elon.
India is against one man holding the off switch.

You already showed us how that works. Ukraine was running tens of thousands of your terminals in a war, and you personally refused to extend coverage near Crimea. Their sea drones lost signal mid-mission. A sovereign country's military operation, cancelled by a businessman's mood.

Then Manipur, December 2024. Our army raids a militant cache. Sitting next to the guns: a Starlink dish. You said the beams were never on over India. Fine. Then explain how your hardware keeps turning up with smugglers and insurgents.

And yesterday you called India's delay a crime against the people of India and blamed unnamed oligarchs. No names. No proof. Just pressure.

Starlink isn't banned. It already has its DoT licence and space regulator approval. What's left is spectrum and security clearance. That's not a conspiracy. That's a country doing its homework before letting a foreign satellite network bypass its own communication controls.

So yes, bring Starlink to that village. Gladly.

On India's terms. Data stays here. Audits happen here. And no switch in Texas decides what works over Indian soil during a crisis.

That's not anti-progress. That's what sovereignty looks like.

[THE SKIN DOCTOR @theskindoctor13]

Dear Elon,

The online education, digital payments, and small businesses going global you speak of are already happening in India on dirt-cheap internet.

Jio revolutionized cheap internet back in 2016. The price per GB of data crashed from ₹228 to ₹8, shooting monthly usage from under 2 GB to 40 GB+ and turning connectivity from a luxury into a daily utility for hundreds of millions.

India’s internet sector isn't a damsel in distress waiting to be saved by a savior in orbit. That said, we still welcome competition. So drop the sarcasm and go finish your security clearances so Indians can actually choose whether they want affordable ground data or a shiny space toy.

Public taunts won't skip the line. Pfizer tried forcing its way into the Indian market during COVID era using the same playbook, bypassing mandatory protocols and leaning on public pressure through influencers. It didn't work then, and it won't work now.

[Vishal Lohar @yourcodebuddy]

National security clearance isn’t an oligarch conspiracy, Elon.

Both Jio and Airtel (OneWeb) are navigating the exact same regulatory hurdles and security audits as Starlink. No special favors.

Also, lecturing emerging markets on free competition sounds rich coming from the US, where 100% tariffs and bans on foreign tech (like Chinese EVs and telecoms) are justified under "national interest". Comply with local data and security laws, just like everyone else.

[Vishal Lohar @yourcodebuddy]

Great!

A few things might make our experience better:

1. I am very used to the idea of cloning my database and creating new branches since I used Neon before.

To get the same feel, I just created a Docker Compose file and a scheduled cron job. So every time I need to clone, I just click on Execute now. It's a little hack.

2. No DB explorer too - Neon was using Drizzle Studio, and I believe Coolify can too. It's already really good and supports all databases.

3. My team also were not able to use the Coolify database in Power BI since it doesn't trust the SSL certificate generated by Coolify. Still figuring out. Might modify Trafiek to fix it.

[Vishal Lohar @yourcodebuddy]

We moved all our apps and services to @coolifyio last night.

Apps:
1. Next.js App (Preview and Production) + Auto Preview Deployments
2. Sendy
3. Plunk (Testing)
4. Fuma Docs (TanStack Start)

2 PostgreSQL 18 Databases
RustFs (S3 Storage)

Overall, we are happy with the migration. Since the Database and App are on the same server, it reacts much faster.

We reduced our costs by 80% with almost zero maintenance overhead. Thanks @coolifyio : )

@markfenner https://t.co/9VvzQpBp2n I want to rebuild my app.

Currently, it's just a visual layer on top of the model output and the output itself is not much influenced by my app.

I want to change that and work more on getting good designs from even dumb models.
