The range of Dolphin software improves accessibility and independence for people who are blind or partially sighted - at work, at home and in education.
We have had a fantastic time at SightCity, connecting with dealers and end users of our assistive technology products. It has been great to see the response to the latest innovations coming out of Dolphin Labs, and to share how we are helping shape the future of assistive technology. The enthusiasm and feedback we have received continue to motivate us to develop high quality solutions that push boundaries and deliver meaningful impact.
Today is the final day, so there is still time to visit us at Stand 2I09 on the second floor.

Today, Thursday 21 May, marks Global Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD). It is a global opportunity to get everyone talking, thinking and learning about digital access and inclusion for the more than one billion people worldwide living with disabilities.
At Dolphin, accessibility is not just a conversation. It has been our mission for 40 years.
As we celebrate Dolphin @ 40, we are proud to reflect on four decades of breaking down barriers and building independence for people who are blind, partially sighted or print-impaired. From pioneering screen readers in 1986 to today’s evolving assistive technologies, our focus has always been the same: making technology work for everyone.
GAAD is a reminder that accessibility is essential. While progress has been made, there is still more to do.
Let’s keep pushing for a world where digital experiences are inclusive by design.
Here’s to 40 years of impact and the future of accessibility.

“It’s been a really enriching experience.”
Laura joined us through the Get Set Progress internship, bringing her lived experience of using assistive technology into our Product Testing team, that perspective is invaluable.
Her insight helps us understand how our software works in everyday situations, where it really matters. Which is where meaningful improvement happens.
This is what inclusion should look like in practice - listening, learning, and building better together.

Members of the Dolphin team were proud to attend the official opening of the new pelican crossing at New College Worcester, a truly lovely event celebrating accessibility, confidence and opportunity.
The crossing has been named in honour of the late Noel Duffy, a governor “whose work helped transform access to assistive technology for blind and partially sighted people”, a legacy that continues to make a real difference to young people today.
It was inspiring to see how this new on‑campus crossing will help blind and vision‑impaired students build confidence and independence in a safe, supportive environment.
We’re delighted to have been part of the occasion and are very happy to continue Noel’s legacy through work that supports inclusion and independence for all.
Last week, Dolphin’s Simon Kitchen was pleased to appear on AT Banter podcast, where he discussed how Dolphin Computer Access has become the Swiss Army Knife of assistive technology.
As Dolphin celebrates 40 years in assistive technology, Simon joined Rob, Ryan and Shake to reflect on the company’s evolution over the past four decades, from hardware speech synthesizers in the pre‑Windows era to today’s powerful, AI‑enhanced software solutions.

This Friday, we will come together to honour the life and legacy of Noel Duffy, a man whose passion, leadership and unwavering commitment to accessibility transformed lives.
At New College Worcester, a newly installed pedestrian crossing will be officially opened in Noel’s name, a lasting tribute that reflects his lifelong dedication to empowering people who are blind or vision impaired. This crossing will help students practise vital road-crossing skills safely and confidently for generations to come.
Noel was not only a Governor of NCW, but a champion for accessibility across the UK, a leader in assistive technology, and a tireless advocate for inclusion. Naming this crossing after him ensures his impact will continue to be felt every single day.
