i’d like to say thank you to everyone who is posting tiktoks driving through forks Washington in the rain, honestly twilight nostalgia is the only thing keeping me going at this point
@savannahhallma2 i’m back at university & working in healthcare again, so don’t have a lot of time to work on anything else. plus the whole thing with Jenna marbles made me realise that i can’t rely on an audience or a job to make me happy, even if it is a “dream” job. 💛
love professors who say that if you don’t get a good grade on an exam then you’ll automatically fail the entire unit and have to wait a whole year to retake, only to say afterwards “actually that’s not true, I was just saying that to motivate you to do better” bitch wtf
it’s ok if tiktok gets banned - my bad habit of saving any tiktok that I find slightly amusing to my camera roll means I will be able to singlehandedly rebuild the app from the ground up you’re welcome

@DrRustyKuntz that’s not what I was saying at all. my point is that she was more than happy to make billions of dollars from works that celebrated accepting others despite their differences, and now she’s actively going against those values.
@JBureau77 see I already did that twice....and yet somehow I always end up back home. im grateful to have a place to come back to, but it’s too easy to revert back to a teenager/parent dynamic
@MissFruhauf that’s true, but there is the potential that someone may know the dog belongs to a neighbour/relative, and (at least in my area) the volunteers with microchip machines are always ready to help. good to hear that animal control doesn’t charge!
friendly reminder that if you find a stray/lost dog and you have the ability to temporarily look after them, do it. find your community Facebook group and post there, or see if there are volunteers who have a microchip scanner. 1/3
@planetabilan no thank god, i was just trying to rescue a stray and while I was taking pictures of her to put on FB the neighbour came over and put her in her truck and said she’s taking her to the pound 😢
whilst I understand it’s the owners responsibility to make sure their dogs don’t wander off, accidents happen, and it can happen even to the best pet owners. so please try your best to get in touch with the owner FIRST, because you could be saving a dogs life. 3/3.
taking the animal directly to the pound is the last resort, as many pounds (at least in Australia) require a payment to have the dog released. rn not everyone can afford to get their dogs back, and are forced to surrender them or be placed in foster care. 2/3
