Today we crossed 18k $Buttcoin holders today according to @HolderScan.
Also saw a post recently (which I can’t find) with some analysis of all the wallets that said distribution was spread nicely from small wallets to big whales with lots of sizes in between.
A true, open community is what I want to grow where everyone can jump in, have fun, and not be worried about getting left behind.
Big, small, daily traders or people who buy and hold forever. All are welcome.

Buttcoin turns 15 years old today!
It's officially our #ButtcoinBirthday.
Back in early 2011, someone on a dying internet comedy forum, in a thread about a newly created digital currency called "Bitcoin", asked a simple question:
"Has anyone called them Buttcoins yet?"
15 years ago today, I decided to buy a domain, get a logo created, set up a website, a Twitter account, a subreddit and a Facebook page to document the early days of crypto. There was so much happening so quickly, much of it hilarious, that I wanted to share it with the world.
We are an important part of the crypto landscape. We shone a light on the industry, dug up scams and lies, and also found funny moments to share and major events to highlight.
We grew to become a major part of not just early crypto culture, but of internet history as well:
- We reported on the rise and fall of Mt. Gox.
- We broke the news of the fall of MyBitcoin, the first major exchange hack.
- We had Satoshi's name and logo replaced with ours on the official Bitcoin code repository
- We had write-up in major publications such as Wired, TechCrunch and the Washington Post.
- We led to the downfall of major crypto hardware maker Butterfly Labs
- We had our website seized by the FTC and our names entered into government record
Over the years the Twitter account grew and and had many interactions with people like Vitalik, cobie and other important members of crypto.
The subreddit grew to a quarter million members, growing faster that nearly all other crypto subreddits at the time.
And the website was preserved as an important part of historical documentation.
And in January of this year, we launched the $Buttcoin token to celebrate the history, the culture, and build that fun community aspect of Buttcoin again. What we've accomplished in that short 4 month window, with thousands of people joining us, is nothing short of incredible.
So thank you to everyone for 15 wonderful years of being a talking cartoon butt. I can't wait to see what the next 15 hold!
(I tried to get an ice cream cake with a picture of a butt on it but I'm now banned from my Baskin Robbins for life)

16m is beyond cheap
I am the original creator and I filed for IP (copyright and trademark) personally, through the same law firm that did Troll. Doxxed myself and everything.
Buy with confidence you’re getting the real deal OG Buttcoin!
$BUTTHOLE, $TITCOIN, $FARTCOIN all ran $100m/2B mcap with no lore or history behind them
If I was a Tier 1 CEX I wouldn’t be listing something called Butthole or Titcoin
$BUTTCOIN on the other hand has history and lore from 2011, the original creator, and is a Bitcoin Parody
The name $BUTTCOIN isn’t to crass/gross, is normie friendly, and is symbolic and recognizable as satire to Bitcoin
Just to clear up any confusion since this pops up every so often, $Buttcoin isn't a "derivative" or a "beta" of any other memecoin, it's a spin-off from Bitcoin itself. Full stop.
Two years after Bitcoin launched and two years before Dogecoin became a thing, Buttcoin was an "acting memecoin" before the technology to launch a memecoin existed. Buttcoin was a memecoin before memecoins.
We memed Bitcoin itself and the entire early crypto history. We weren't part of the memecoin ecosystem, we were the whole ecosystem. Nothing like that existed until some skilled programmers were able to make Dogecoin a reality, and an ecosystem was born.
So Buttcoin is not just about Butts, or any other body part exclusively. It's not "this is coin has a funny name so let's choose another body part" and we picked a butt.
The Butt in Buttcoin is merely a representation of something that is funny, applied to a coin. It's the entire humor of crypto, represented by a pair of cheeks.
