We are deeply saddened by the tragic loss of our dear business partner and friend, Brian O'Keefe. For over than 2.5 years, we had the privilege of working closely with Brian.
In his memory, his family has established the Brian O’Keefe Memorial Fund in support of Wasatch Backcountry Rescue, the volunteer team that serves their community in the mountains Brian loved.

Welcome Scott Saturday as VP of Sales at Hapi Homes.
Scott is leading our Pasadena team and is on the ground in Altadena managing our rebuild efforts, while also driving nationwide growth across primary homes, ADUs, and infill development.
He grew up around real estate, framed houses in college, and built his career at the intersection of tech + housing (Zillow, Compass, startup founder which he exited). He’s scaled teams, built systems, and delivered in complex markets.
He’s also lived it personally - Realtor, investor, homeowner, and converted an office into an ADU, living in 650 sq ft for a year. He understands what matters beyond the build: financing, sequencing, layout efficiency, and day-to-day livability.
At Hapi Homes, he’s focused on expanding access to precision-engineered, financeable, design-forward housing, in California and nationwide.

@FannieMae has new game-changing guidelines on ADUs that will allow you to build multiple ADUs, up to four units total. Fannie Mae will now both finance the construction and refinance of a property with multiple ADUs.

@Oravetz_Ed@FannieMae We speak to a lot of people in NC! This is a typical message, builders are booked out two years in advance in some parts of Western NC! Prices are up around $450 sq ft also.
So much opportunity in this space, lots of great policy change.
Iowa now requires cities to permit at least one ADU on every single-family lot, Washington has simplified permitting and doubled allowed units per lot, and Massachusetts just implemented streamlined ADU permitting with tens of thousands expected to be built. Colorado, Oregon, Arizona and others have also passed ADU-friendly laws, while cities from St. Louis to Seattle are easing local barriers to accessory dwelling construction. Not to mention CA - multifamily properties, now let owners build up to eight detached ADUs expanding small-scale housing capacity beyond traditional backyard units.
And add companies like @BuildCasa and @yardsworth to the mix! There is so much possibility!!
