We would like to extend a huge congratulations to Assistant Chief Joshua Lynch on his completion of the FBI National Academy and the Yellow Brick Road to close out his training. After 10 weeks away, he will soon be returning to us.
The Yellow Brick Road is a 6+ mile obstacle course and by the pictures you can get a glimpse of what it entails.
Congratulations again sir and welcome home!!
Imagine waking up feeling great. You get ready for work, school, the gym—wherever the day takes you. You’re motivated, energized, and ready to tackle the day.
Then you walk out to your car and realize your favorite pair of sunglasses are gone because some Parking Lot Pirates 🏴☠️ decided to help themselves overnight.
Unfortunately, that’s a reality for some people.
Last night, while most of us were sleeping, JPD officers responded to reports of multiple Parking Lot Pirates 🏴☠️ breaking into vehicles in the Central District before fleeing in a white sedan.
Our Patrol Division quickly went to work. Using our Safe City System, officers located the suspect vehicle, made an arrest, and recovered several pieces of stolen property.
Hopefully, two lessons were learned last night:
🏴☠️ Lesson #1: Don’t do that. Seriously… not cool.
👮 Lesson #2: If you choose to commit crimes in our community, there’s a good chance you’ll be meeting our officers. Criminals will be held accountable.
As always, help us make it even harder on thieves:
🔒 Lock your doors.
🎒 Remove valuables from your vehicle.
💡 Park in well-lit areas whenever possible.
🔫 Please be a responsible gun owner and don’t store your weapon in your vehicle.
Together, we can keep the Parking Lot Pirates out of Jeffersonville.
Traffic alert.
Jeffersonville Police Patrol Division and our Traffic Crash Investigation Team are currently working a passenger car versus motorcycle accident near the intersection of Spring Street and Market Street. Please avoid the area as there are closures around the crash scene.
We will provide information regarding road closure as soon as possible.

Across the bridge, the old hats handed over the socials reins to the new generation. The work hasn’t changed, just the posting. Respect.🫡 Standby while we catch up.
