Karmelo Anthony, a Black teenager, has been sentenced to 35 years in prison after being convicted by a jury with no Black jurors. Whatever one believes about the verdict itself, we cannot ignore the larger truth that many Americans are wrestling with: justice is still being administered through a system with a long history of racial disparity in sentencing and punishment.
This requires more than reaction. It requires moral honesty about who is deemed dangerous, whose pain is centered, and how differently accountability has often been applied in America. If we want justice worthy of its name, it cannot be shaped by race.

i don’t care if the kid stole the whole goddamned store you can’t chase somebody and shoot them in the fucking back and get away with it what the fuck are we doing
tl is full of black American kids go missing every day, many Chinese citizens flying to Africa to abuse black children and use toys that look like black babies as "stress relief", sudan going throught the worst humanitarian crisis, Congo still bleeding...
Protect black people
@beombby_ @Darkrimmedeyes@criminalplaza as much i agree with this, this is a picture. There’s no way you can avoid it cause mask words don’t apply to words in a picture.
@triple5guy @DrBenDoverESQ @DJ_Realtime@BellaJoyAgain this is the thing: the police have never and will never give a fuck. it doesn’t take one case to change that
what’s weird is that a lot of y’all were very quick to not believe this girl, and y’all wonder why thousands of black girls go and stay missing!! Y’all don’t care!
@essenceof_@Have_MURcy@skinclasshero i think that’s why people might be apprehensive to tinted deodorant.. because it doesn’t address the real problem like you mentioned.
@MarinoZacharius @empireenjoyer10@BlkPHomo@smthnboutnessie @MIDOLUVR @realMiror@keatingssixth no. Large income disparities in neighborhoods lead to large resource disparities in schools (because where do schools get their funding?). You see this in every state
not sure why you brought up the race of representatives, as if that prevents them from perpetuating the problem.
@BlkPHomo @MIDOLUVR @realMiror@keatingssixth no, it could mean that there are couple people scoring really low bringing the mean down. A histogram of scores are better at looking at these kinds of information - to see if there are outliers and by how much.
@BlkPHomo @MIDOLUVR @realMiror@keatingssixth yeah I’m not sure you know what ur talking about 😭😭
An average does not necessarily mean every score in the sample is near the number. Smart black students WITH resources are most likely scoring in the 1350+ range.
@Brendan94316342@toughtalkty @barwin40 @JoJoFromJerz War is a VERY traumatic experience to go through, and the fact you are using it for an argument about affirmative action in America is disturbing
@Brendan94316342@toughtalkty @barwin40 @JoJoFromJerz Poor white people from Ukraine are able to seek refuge and aren’t worried about if the country will accept them because they are white. This is not the same for non-white refugees. This is how white privilege works. BUT, this ISN’T to say they aren’t suffering at all.
