Rhaenyra : Seasmoke , my late Lord Husband’s dragon. it’s grown restless of late .. we cannot know why
Mysaria : maybe he’s lonely
this was when Rhaenyra realized Laenor wasn’t alive anymore 😭💔
daenerys: should i kill the slavers or find a diplomatic solution?
aegon i: kill them all
visenya: kill them all
rhaenys: kill them all
jaehaerys: women shouldn't rule
rhaenyra: kill them all
daemon: kill them all
aegon iii: kill them all
aerion: YOU HAVE 3 DRAGONS?!!
Everyone on Linkedin should be watching House of Dragons.
They keep dropping Career Gems.
In the last episode Rhaenyra blessed us with the best auto email reply, that I will be using going forward
"I am awash in dilemmas and deficiencies. Let me find my footing and I will attend to your request."
Whoever wrote that line…I know your pen was on fire.
never forget everything rhaenyra is dealing with as queen IS gendered. the way people speak to and about her, the way they weaponize the legitimacy of her children. this isn't just the difficulties of ruling, this is her having to rule under a war started because of her womanhood
corlys: "you had bastards and i also have bastards. what's the difference between us"
corlys rhaenyra had bastard because YOU lobbied hard to have her marry your gay son. you on the other hand have bastards because you CHEATED on your wife who gave you 2 kids!!
imagine it’s your first day as queen, your son just died, someone’s taken all your money, you can’t trust anyone, your gf and husband are constantly fighting and you’re under the same roof as your 20+ year ex-situationship, and you can’t sleep, AND THEN YOU GET YOUR PERIOD.
hatching a dragon egg as a baby must be so fun because you get to spend your childhood playing with a kitten sized dragon, you grow up together, and then a few years later he is the size of a neighborhood and can help you burn all your enemies 🥹
this was such a touching moment for me, he showed her respect and showed the crowd who’s in charge. if he had done it himself, he would remove status of command and authority from rhaenyra, which was what Otto was hoping for, besides a quick death, and daemon didn’t fall for it
I have seen many people criticise Rhaenyra's ascendance to the throne, but I think its brilliance lies in the decision NOT to make it a triumphant moment. Her steps are steeped in blood, she lost her son hours ago and now, for the first time in her life, she has had to kill with her own hands.
She has lost two of her children, many of her allies and nearly all of her life to this conflict. There is no more turning back from this endless spiral of violence. It is fitting that this scene is more tragic and grief-stricken than it is rageful and triumphant.
Completely elevates the episode for me and Emma D'Arcy is just brilliant here.
