THREAD : The Eligibility of Morocco. This is my first ever thread, a thread about a subject that has been destroying the @FIFAe community in Morocco. Our country has shown great passion, skill and love towards people’s game, Football during the World Cup 2022. Just before that, we had the chance to participate for the first time ever to the FIFAe Nations Cup circuit in FIFA22. We played in the MENA region against legends and top tier players from KSA, UAE, South Africa… We managed to qualify to the FIFAe Nations Cup finals. Now imagine that we did this without being eligible which means without having FGS players… We saw an opportunity to prove our level, finishing top16-20 in the world for a country with no FGS and no pro circuit…. We had 3 players that never played a single FGS competition… It means we have what it takes to compete. I have tried to contact @EAFIFAesports @EAFIFADirect, through emails (automatic response) through multiple messages to @rushanshekar and @mattjaaa on twitter, linkedin and discord… Not a single response. We only want to know what it takes to become an eligible country, is that so demanding ? As a head coach who loves his players and his community, everytime im on discord, i see my players grinding, i see my players achieving 1000pts on rivals doing 20-0 playing blackicups and other tournaments… FOR WHAT ? How can i stay calm when we did everything possible in the international scene, when our country invested millions in @EAFIFAesports when it comes to the FIFAe Nations circuit (bootcamps, national tournaments, moving to Middle East in every week of @FIFAe Nations Cup) And we don’t even know what should we do to become eligible. Should we watch as our talents fade away ? Should we watch as our community ceases to exist ? What should i say to my players ? Train hard and one day you will compete ? Please, help us by giving us infos and what we can do or change to become eligible, in the end we only want to compete… Isn’t that what esport is all about ?
