所谓汤若望发明定气法的说法，对于很多知乎读者可能很容易理解，其实外行和反贼根本不知道发生了啥，我不得不给大家做个简单的科普，本��小时候是天文积极份子，得过奖，对于传统历法有所了解，尝试给你说说清楚：

中国传统历法是非常面面俱到的历法，现在可以说是世界上最为清晰完整的授时历法，可以说是处女座最爱，它完整的满足了观测日月星辰变化、气候农时朝规、政治社会生活需求的历法。

同时任何正常人通过简单的思辨，都可以发现，西历中的周、月都是绝对人历，而非自然历，西历也不过就是一部365又1/4的太阳回归历，甚至保留非常多的非规则现象（主要是独裁主义的痕迹），在可以预计的未来，随着技术的发展，必然会被部分抛弃。

历法之难，难在观测：

太阳的观测

在传统上，太阳被认为是最容易观测的，但除了测日高之外，现代公认直至郭守敬时代应用小孔成像，世界上并没有精确观测日影长的手段，如果晷长过大，则日影虚淡，如果太短，则不够精确，所以历史上甚至出现了，在西方甚至出现偶尔搞错冬至日的局面（相对精确计算，对比两日最高点其实是很简单的），所以观测太阳何时处于最高点其实是困难的，前后差几分钟很正常，所以在没有时间仪器帮助下（直到北宋时代才解决），太阳测定其实并不是很好的手段，在古希腊，用勉强可以观测到的遮蔽12星座作为黄道基准，也是太阳观测困难的一个脚注，但是日升日落构成一日，是人所共知的显著现象。

月亮的朔望周���

“月”概念是在“日”出现以后进入人类社会的，但与“日”不同，如何定义一个阴晴圆缺的周期在不同的文明是完全不同的，很显然，从满月到满月定义一个月是最容易的事情，所以除了中国之外几乎所有的地区都这么定义（也有用容易出错的新月），因为误差，30天一个月（传统认知），29天半一个月（古中国认知的平朔望月）出现了完全不同的结局，由于无法妥善解决月差问题，西方历法与古巴比伦一样很早就变成了人历，现在承袭罗马的历法基本就是一部把月当作政治强奸工具的遗蜕，比较有意思的是，号称海洋民族的西方虽然地中海风浪较小，同时月地关系和航海的关系显然确切，他们却完全无视了。

如何确认月首：

月亮的观测则简单很多，因为月亮是可以直视的，通过预定的��尺是可以准确画出银道和月轨，所以中国古人很早就开始集中观测月亮，并且很早就知道月亮出现朔望和太阳有关系，并且很早就知道设置大小月来抵消29天半的月长，并且很早就开始使用日月合朔同宫同度来确定月首，而同时其他所有阴历都采用满月或新月作为月首，这是因为中国一直是天文观测大国，比其他文明先进多了，采用二十八宿里的十二朔星可以很精确的算出月首：
所以，当中国人发现了日月合朔那天，初一就已经定了，在古代中国，非常在意太阳太阴的合朔之意，也就掌握了日月食的预测技术，所以至今合谓初一，是早就底定的事情，并不需要一个老外来胡说八道。

星宿观测的客观性

中国古代对于星宿观测已经到了相当复杂的程度，相对宣传的古希腊星相基本已经失传，在晋虞喜之前，由于历史天文资料汗牛充栋，中国人就已经发现了岁差，由于地球的章��，每26000年，地轴指向会旋转一次，所有星图就会随之旋转，冬至点日躔行度（也就是黄经）每50年退后1度，如果中国此时不知道黄道起点是无法想象的。

同样是中国人，北齐的张子信发现了日行有盈缩，至一行已经将所有的定气、朔望、日月食都计算成熟，也就是说根据一行的计算方式，你可以得出现在所有的定气节气，也就是通过北斗观测的春分和平气法算出的春分是完全不同的，但是春分的定义是明确的，通过对日行观测和北斗观测都可以得出准确的结论，所以在中国历代历法中在馆内用的都是定气（包括两至、两分、四立、还有就是清明都是客观确认的），而老百姓所知的平节气，因为相差不大，是对人类生产生活简单计算的妥协而已：

特别是对北辰的研究，这是中国传统意义上核心，由于众所周知的原因，太阳系公转也好地球章动也好，在短短几��年的人类社会里，对于北斗的定气观测是没有明显影响的，如果不是这个原因，古人也无从发现太阳周年视运动的不均匀性。所以所谓的汤若望发现定气法，他既没有确认黄经，也没有发明定气法，甚至以前的历法，在馆内就是使用定气而不是平气来计算日月食和朔望的，否则只要一年历法就失效了。

而中国古人经过漫长思考，确认星图比移动频繁的日月行星更加有效，比如我们现在确认正月的方法是北斗建寅：

年的发现和清明的特殊性

中国古人早就发现了偕日法可以非常简单的测定回归年，方法非常简单而直接，就是在日出日落根据星图看日落方向是否重复，即为一年，这种方法自何时出现已经无法考证，而星空中最明亮、最清晰的恒星就是非常不错的观测对象，比如大火心宿二，所以几乎可以确认两至两分四立之外的清明也就是大火星作为朔星的时间，���就是阳历四月五号。👇铃被认为就是大火的象征。

为���保证同时满足太阴太阳历法的均衡，中国人发明了19年闰7法，在很长一段时间内不需要设置其他闰法，有意思的是所谓的希伯来历法也是19年闰7，但很明显我们现在所掌握的历法来自于希伯来引入19闰7早很多。

总之，中国古代历法是一种通过大幅度积累统计，集中观测和去误差的均一法来实现非常精确的观测节点，在满足天人合一的目标，将观测现象最大可能的和现实社会结合起来，中国是最早拥有一部日期上写这今日日食历法的文明，这点其他文明是完全比不上的。现在执行的是紫金历，做了较大的现代天文学改造，和所谓的汤若望没啥关系。
