Somaliland Y-PEER, with support from Amplify Change, staged an interactive theater awareness performance at Dhallinta Stadium in Hargeisa to educate young people on STIs, HIV/AIDS, family planning, and adolescent health. Through drama and speeches, the performance raised awareness about HIV and STI prevention, highlighted the importance of ending stigma and discrimination against people living with HIV, and encouraged young people to make informed decisions about their health and well-being.

Somaliland Y-PEER team attended the National Youth Policy Stakeholder Review and Validation Meeting organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports (MoYS) at Barar Hotel, Hargeisa.
The meeting focused on reviewing the existing National Youth Policy, identifying policy gaps, validating findings, and shaping recommendations. Key discussions covered Gender Equity and Equality, Youth Empowerment, and Climate Change to help strengthen a more inclusive and responsive youth policy for Somaliland.

Somaliland Y-PEER participated in the Validation Workshop on the Cooperative Act and Policy, organized by the Ministry of Trade and Tourism in collaboration with Triple Line Consulting. The workshop brought together key stakeholders to review and validate the draft Cooperative Act and Policy through a multi-stakeholder consultative process.
The discussions focused on strengthening the legal and policy framework for cooperatives to ensure it is inclusive, practical, and responsive to the needs of communities and businesses. Participants shared valuable recommendations on improving access to finance and investment opportunities, promoting sustainable cooperative growth, and enhancing administrative and financial management systems within cooperatives.

A two-day training workshop has officially commenced today, at Imperial Hotel in Hargeisa as part of the Naruuro Project. Implemented by Somaliland Y-Peer and supported by AmplifyChange, this initiative is dedicated to strengthening youth awareness on critical health issues. The workshop brings together 15 students, both girls and boys, from Farah Omar Secondary School, focusing on key topics such as gender-based violence (GBV), HIV and other sexually transmitted infections (STIs), and adolescent health.

Today, Somaliland Y-PEER, with the support of #AmplifyChange, completed a two day community dialogue session. During this session, youth advocates engaged parents, elders, religious leaders, and peers in meaningful discussions on early marriage,
gender-based violence (GBV), and access to sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) services.
As part of its broader efforts to improve the quality of education and health within the community, Somaliland Y-PEER also conducted a training focused on preventing early marriage, addressing GBV, and strengthening awareness of and access to reproductive health services. The training targeted traditional leaders, religious leaders, women, and youth from internally displaced communities in Hargeisa.
This community dialogue is part of the Naruuro Project, which is being implemented by Somaliland Y-PEER with the support of @amplifyfund.
