@AwHirsiSO@faisalroble19@AnalystSomalia@TheVillaSomalia@AwHirsiSO are you still in denial. Call it WhatsApp, Telegram or whatever you like, Somaliland’s flag is waving in Israel & Israel’s flag is flying in Somaliland. This is a relationship based on mutual benefit, not the kind of corrupt & exploitative deal Somalia has with Turkey.
Somali analysts & politicians attacking Somaliland day & night like @faisalroble19@AnalystSomalia@AwHirsiSO should redirect their energy to the collapsing Mogadishu.
If you have any wisdom, use it to advise @TheVillaSomalia. Clean your own mess before lecturing Somaliland.
@AwHirsiSO@faisalroble19@AnalystSomalia@TheVillaSomalia Bro @AwHirsiSO I welcome your civility, even where I disagree with your opinion.
But dismissing Somaliland’s 30+ yrs vision that has already borne fruits & describing as unrealistic, while asking us to fix your mess, is disrespectful to us & you, revisit plz.
Let history judge
@AwHirsiSO@faisalroble19@AnalystSomalia@TheVillaSomalia Bro @AwHirsiSO the crisis is deeper than the letter admits.
Secondly, how do you justify chasing Somaliland for unity with divided & unsettled Muq? Any realistic & intellectual priority should be to fix that mess first! What sense than envy to Somaliland such misplaced focus is?
This reflects the reality @TheVillaSomalia. Rather than addressing its crisis it keeps attacking the unstoppable Somaliland, its rightful recognition by @IsraeliPM & its development. They are also busy serving others’ interests
@TheVillaSomalia must reconsider its priorities
Historic Moment: Late President & Muj Ahmed Silanyo reporting the SNM’s historic victories against Barre’s regime during the liberation struggle of May 1988.
“And say, ‘The truth has come, and falsehood has vanished. Indeed, falsehood is bound to vanish.’” Surah Al-Isra 17:81.
Honoured to deliver a short speech at the 𝟭𝟴 𝗠𝗮𝘆 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 in Birmingham, reflecting on Somaliland–Israel relations, the month-long and cross-generational jubilations for 𝗠𝗮𝘆, and the bright future ahead for Somaliland.
Mayor @AbdikarimMoge has concluded 59 Monthly Hygiene Campaign in Hargeisa — a commitment sustained for 5 yrs.
Maintaining & delivering such an initiative, plus its impact, says much about his leadership.
Commitment, consistency & delivery are core values we badly need today.
President @Abdirahmanirro declared that Somaliland has entered a stronger diplomatic & military position through Israel’s recognition & alliance.
He also exposed Somalia’s hypocrisy & sent a clear warning: aggression against Somaliland will not go unanswered & will be regretted
President @Abdirahmanirro firmly addressed the arrogances of Djibouti & Somalia, reaffirming that Somaliland stands for peaceful neighbourhood & mutual respect, along with it’s full capacity of defending its sovereignty & the proven far resilient than its aggressors.
We are 💪.
You are right @hahussain this only exposes their naivety. If “so-called & irrelevant" why the rush to condemn its sovereign choices? The outrage itself is contradicting.
Somaliland’s engagement is based on constructive diplomacy & it's choices are shaped only by its interests.
GCC Sec General says “the ‘so-called Somaliland’ opening of an ‘embassy’ in occupied Jerusalem” is a step that violates international law and resolutions.
Questions:
1- If Somaliland is an imaginary and unrecognized state, why bother denouncing whatever it does?
2- The Arab official position considers East Jerusalem to be occupied and should be given to Palestinians to become the capital of a Palestinian state in line with UN 242 up to 2803. If so, how is any nation opening an embassy in West Jerusalem a violation of anything?
@Danale no worries those who've long discriminated against, marginalised & denied Somaliland do not shape its choices. Somaliland–Israel relations are based on constructive diplomacy & mutual benefit.
We expect Israel & @IsraeliPM to stand with Somaliland against such hostility.
The Muslim Brotherhood of #Qatar that feeds #Turkey too, complains about #Somaliland opening embassy in Israel. My dear African Brothers of Somaliland you are a blessing to Israel and to Somaliland. Together we will do great things, in innovation, agriculture, military training and more.
Do not let these fanatics disturb you. You are God Blessed.
A Young Heart Moved by Patriotism
By Abdirahman Buni
During the Somaliland Independence Day celebration on 18th May, an emotional moment captured the hearts of many at a primary school in Hargeisa, Somaliland. Among the students proudly singing songs of national pride stood a young boy dressed in the colors of the Somaliland flag, his hand placed over his chest and tears visible in his eyes.
The child’s emotional expression reflected more than a school performance. It showed a deep sense of patriotism, love for his country, and connection to the meaning of the day. As the national songs echoed around the school grounds, his tears appeared to carry feelings of pride, hope, and respect for Somaliland’s history and identity.
In that powerful moment, the young boy became a symbol of the next generation — children who grow up understanding the value of unity, culture, and national pride. His emotions reminded everyone watching that patriotism is not measured by age, but by the sincerity felt in the heart.
The celebration in Hargeisa was filled with national colors, songs, and joy, but it was the tears in the child’s eyes that told the strongest story of all.
I welcome this historic moment & Pres. @Abdirahmanirro’s efforts to advance Somaliland’s international recognition, including the engagement of @mccuejury & other international friends
Somaliland’s case is lawful, unique & overdue. I am hopeful these efforts will bear fruit soon
A huge thank you to H.E. Abdirahman Mohamed Abdullahi, President of Somaliland, who has mandated the significant legacy project of the Somaliland Independence Recognition Institution. The President’s message below.
I was delighted to receive the first-ever Ambassador of Somaliland to Israel, Mohamed Hagi, who presented his diplomatic credentials this morning.
Ambassador Hagi was kind enough to praise our orchestra, who played the national anthem of Somaliland for the first time ever in Israel.
This important new partnership
between our nations will bring a shared future of cooperation in a range of fields to the benefit of both our peoples and the entire region.
Yesterday’s #USA🇺🇲 celebration of Israeli Independence was the first since the State of #Israel🇮🇱 became the first sovereign to recognize & exchange ambassadors with the Rep. of #Somaliland. Great to see @SomalilandUS head @baruud welcomed by @IsraelinUSA’s Amb. @yechielleiter.
