@rkputcha Fair point. I agree that abusive language by politicians, irrespective of who uses it, is wrong. But it should never become benchmark for civic conduct. My concern is the normalization of such language among young students—the future of our country. A just cause deserves better.

I believe the simple solution would be to amend the law, to consider it as a dot ball every time non-striker steps out before a ball is bowled. Same as bowler being asked to bowl extra ball for overstepping. Would like to see how many non-strikers would take a start after that.
