@flagfighter cause it really forces you to ask yourself what you'd do in their position. at what point do their acts become too villainous to justify, if they even explicitly reach that point at all. we get to see the descent of sorts
@flagfighter like I don't wanna get my hopes up crazy high but I'm really encouraged by this direction the series seems to be taking, re: morality and light vs dark. establishing these antagonists as sympathetic first, instead of shoehorning in redemption arcs for everybody afterward
@flagfighter I mean..... I guess it really depends on how u see the trolley problem. is it more ethical to condemn the worlds to a cycle of destruction by staying neutral, or to minimize the harm but directly involve yourself with ending people's lives? are u saving ppl or destroying them?
@flagfighter hhgh... I still don't think the end justifies the means but man it's hard to get mad at demyx imagining him being happy that he and all his friends can finally be safe together 🥺
kickstarting the child war was worth it maybe
@flagfighter considering luxu’s line about MoM being more interested in how his apprentices let their hearts guide them (over the fate of the world) I think it’s safe to assume he wuuuvs them very much :> in his strange way
@flagfighter ava a-arching up into his touch :3c
I want all the foretellers together again now that there's less of a pretense of demyx being their untouchable master. cuddle pile now
@flagfighter to be fair it’s probably at most two people who are convinced that they’ll be boring and stupid as villains bc they allowed themselves to get mislead by their cult leader
as if religious zealotry isn’t always interesting and sexy?
