@annbonnys@glory2thenight And? What difference does that make? I personally don't care that bands label it as Europe and UK. I'm in England and closer to Europe than I am other places in the UK. I could be in France quicker than I could Scotland.
@Baratnas@MungoJerryLTD Interesting, thanks for the genuine reply - possibly quite differently to how music has been received subsequently, through the years when the visual aspect of the music video was very signficant and now when it is often oriented to being an insular experience for the listener.
@stevebr69915692@Sturdygirl0803@MungoJerryLTD When you said the line implies 'you can get away with anything if SHE's poor' you're quite directly suggesting it's a sexist slight. Who do you think requires your support given the rest of your content alternating between 'flower' and 'fella'?
@Baratnas@MungoJerryLTD Everyone you knew? Did you have a running community discourse on this particular song, or did you debate any popular song of the day that had lyrics that could be brought into question?
@stevebr69915692@Sturdygirl0803@MungoJerryLTD You're complaining about some sort of perceived sexist slight in a lyric in order to make yourself look progressive and sympathetic - you're not an unusual commodity.
@JournoMaddie@_Fenrir_7 This doesn't just happen in 'rural' Britain, it's common all over the country in various forms and most, most of the time it's OK.
@PendletonMartin@DreyfusJames He had confidence and refused to be pigeon-holed as an artist in an industry that tried to put him in a role with limitations as an individual, and then in turn he got rebranded as arrogant because he didn't want to be what was reductively, superficially expected of him.
