Sub-Saharan Africa has taken about $1.23 trillion in official aid since 1960. The continent took about $1.3 trillion from 2000 to 2023. The DRC alone has taken $60+ billion and sits on roughly half the world’s cobalt. Donors and contractors have been building and rebuilding roads and bridges there for DECADES.

Nearly 40% of people in sub-Saharan Africa have the internet. They still cannot put up a small public crossing that survives its own opening.
