#Person of Character
On the morning of March 24, 2024, human rights lawyer Li Yuxin(李昱函), who had been imprisoned for six years and six months by CCP, was released from prison. Her family and a number of rights activists went to the detention center to greet her, and she expressed her gratitude to people from all walks of life for their long-standing concerns and supports!
Attorney Li Yuhan was framed and imprisoned by CCP Shenyang authorities(沈阳当局). When in custody at the No. 1 Detention Center of Shenyang City, she was tortured by CCP cops to extract confessions and mistreated by the detention center. After was illegally prosecuted to the Court of Heping District, Shenyang City(沈阳市和平区法院), she was maliciously postponed for trial and judgment and illegally detained for more than five years. She was not sentenced until the duration of her custody was close to the sentence that the CCP Shenyang authorities had set for her behind the scenes. CCP’s evil intention was to prevent her from going to a prison where the living conditions were slightly better than those of the detention center, and thus she had been spending the entire six years and six months of sentence illegally imposed on her by CCP in the detention center where the living conditions were terribly harsh, which has become a new type of persecution tactic used by the CCP against human rights lawyers and human rights defenders.
