Many countries, large and small have been watching the on-off U.S - Iran agreement with great interest.
When an operation designed to “teach a lesson” to a regional actor ends up, before a global audience, looking as though a superpower has been taught one instead, it stops being about optics and becomes a question of credibility.
And the lesson being delivered is sharp and enduring.
First, the self-styled ‘great negotiator’ appears considerably less formidable than he bragged.
Second, the composition and conduct of his team raises serious questions about depth and competence.
In a harsher reading, even a moderately astute political operator from the developing world could eat them for breakfast all the while making the White Man believe his *Whiteness* is enough.
Third - If the deal offers the superpower a way to save face, it won’t hesitate a moment to stab its allies in the back.
After SpaceX broke records with its launch on the stock market, the headlines are focusing on Elon being the world's first trillionaire, but they're missing some vital points.
Firstly, he's only a trillionaire on paper. His net worth is primarily due to the number of shares he holds in his companies.
Secondly, it's not about the money; it's about delivering his vision to improve people's lives and make humanity multiplanetary.
Sure, if he cashed out all his shares, he'd have more money than any other person who's ever lived, but that would be selling out his dreams.
He'd have to watch other people control the destiny of the companies he's spent his life building, and that's something that's never going to happen.
The reason he wants to hold so many shares in his businesses isn't for wealth, it's for control; the ability to steer the companies to produce the products that improve the world.
His motivation is the opposite of selfish; in fact, in the past, he's referred to his companies as philanthropy.
Tesla's self-driving is to help reduce accidents, injuries, and fatalities. To help people have mobility who otherwise wouldn't be able to drive due to age, lack of confidence, or health reasons.
Neuralink is about restoring abilities to people who've been deprived of them. Noland Arbaugh, the first human recipient of the Neuralink implant, regained significant digital autonomy and independence after being paralyzed from the neck down.
Buying X was about restoring free speech and helping to save democracy. Founding xAI was about protecting humanity from the dangers of AI by making it maximally truth-seeking.
SpaceX is focused on reaching for the stars, colonizing Mars, and ensuring that humanity isn't wiped out when a cataclysm eventually strikes Earth.
The list goes on: the Boring Company, Tesla's Optimus humanoid robots, Megapacks, and Powerwalls transforming the way electricity is generated and stored.
Every one of Elon's businesses is about helping humanity, advancing what it means to be human, and benefiting others as much as possible.
Elon's approach is best summed up in his answer to Joe Rogan about how he overcomes all the immense challenges he's faced, and keeps facing to make his dreams a reality: "It may sound corny, but love is the answer."
So, while the headlines will scream about how it's unfair he's a trillionaire, it doesn't matter. For Elon, it's always been about his love for humanity, not money.

He is a Monk of Ramkrishna Mission.
First time I have heard somebody of Ramakrishna Mission's Sanyasi to speak the truth so boldly.
Enough with Ahinshaa of Md. Gandhi tought to us !!
@sewanyaya@thewire_in This trivialisation is disgraceful.
A ‘journalist’ barely able to mask her glee, and a JNU ‘professor’ tittering over her own half-baked assumptions.
This is what intellectual dishonesty and agenda-driven disconnect look like.
In defense of Indian 🇮🇳 democracy!
During Prime Minister Narendra Modi most successful visit to Norway a minor incident happened. A Norwegian journalist demanded that the prime minister starts holding press conferences. She claimed that Indian democracy is in bad shape.
May be its time to pause? May be its time to be a bit curious to the world’s largest democracy?
Two weeks ago five Indian states and territories held elections. The turn out in the battlefield state of West Bengal was 94%. In the last local election in Norway it was 62%, in many European local elections turn out is below 50%. Can voting in massive numbers be a signal Indians trust their democratic process?
In the same election BJP won big in Assam and West Bengal. It lost even bigger in Kerala and Tamil Nadu. Can this diversity be a signal that Indian democracy is reflecting the will of the people?
The journalist referred to a democracy ranking putting India at 157 in the world, behind many dictatorships and deeply troubled states. When a ranking is so obviously contrary to common sense, why not ask critical questions to those making the ranking rather than demand that leaders shall comment on nonsense? I recommend Salvatore Babones book “Dharma democracy”. The book debunks convincingly the flawed methodology of these rankings.
It was referred to a ranking claiming it’s very dangerous to be a journalist in India. Reality is that it is more dangerous to be journalist in the US and far more dangerous in the vast majority of other nations in the world.
Let’s be real. India is not perfect. Of course there are incidents. India has a population the size of North America, South America and Europe combined. But India is much more peaceful than Europe or the Americas. That’s remarkable - given the ethnic, language and religious diversity of India and the many development challenges.
Unless we consider democracy a form of government only suited for some very small, peaceful and homogeneous Western European nations, may be we should commend Indian democracy?
India is the only major former UK colony which became and has remained a democracy. Its sometimes claimed that the Brits taught India democracy. If that was the case why isn’t Myanmar or Pakistan or the Gulf kingdoms democracies??? Reality is that Indian democracy is both homegrown and extraordinary successful.
🚨 WOW! JD Vance just broke it down PERFECTLY for patriots in the West rising up against 3rd world migration, BUCKING Keir Starmer calling it "far-right"
"To everybody in the UK who rejects [3rd world migration], I'd encourage them to just KEEP ON GOING! It's OK to want to defend your culture!" 🔥
"All over the West is this idea that the way to generate prosperity is to bring in MILLIONS and millions of unvetted people and DROP them into your neighborhoods — and we simply reject that idea!"
"It's OK to want to live in a safe neighborhood. It's okay to want your job to go to yourself and your neighbors and not to a stranger who you don't even know."
"It is reasonable for the people in Western societies to want to control who comes into their country and who doesn't."
"A lot of people, frankly, a lot of people in the media have tried to persuade all of those people that it's somehow racist to want to protect your borders..."
"...even though very often the very people who are most affected by low wage immigration are lower income black and Hispanic Americans right here in the United States of America, and I guarantee that's true in the UK."
"So we believe in making America great again. You can't do that unless you protect your borders. I'd encourage our friends in the UK to follow the same path."
🇺🇸🇬🇧 AWESOME!
It's been #1 across all books, #1 in Politics, #1 in Psychology, #1 in Western History, etc. It's only day #6 of its release! Let's inoculate the West against Civilizational Seppuku!.
@AmazonHelp@amazon Please help! I missed the return window yesterday for an item by just 15 minutes — super frustrating after trying to get it done on time. I've called customer service 3 times already with no resolution or exception granted. As a long-time customer, hoping for a one-time goodwill exception to process the return. Order details happy to DM. Thanks!
So it was India who orchestrated violent coup in Ukraine known as Maidan.
It was India who has a foreign policy of strategically defeating Russia .
It was India who provided $350 billion at the minimum to Ukraine to fight Russia so Russia can be weaken.
It is Indian MIC who earned billions in weapons contract .
It is India who continues weapons supply and intelligence.
It is India who refuses to have a serious negotiations with Russia and instead asking for “unconditional ceasefire” aka Russia’s capitulation.
Thank you Donnie , for educating us who is the real instigator and funder of the Ukrainian conflict.
