I found out that the battery to VBAT trace was weak and the voltage wasn't reaching the IC properly. Some solder and it's all sorted

I took out the small resistor from the rtc module to disable the charging circuit since i was using a non rechargeable cell with it. Now the module no longer works on battery backup at all 🤙🤙

Fixed it and it's all working again
