YSOP Connex volunteers distributed 70+ blankets at the Mascaro Boys and Girls Club in New Rochelle last week. Westchester County Legislator Terry Clements was in attendance. Thanks to everyone who helped out!
Earlier this week, Pelham seniors and Pelham Memorial High School students worked together making blankets for Westchester County families in need. YSOP staff was so encouraged by the students' enthusiasm and interest in the senior citizens' experiences applying for college.
We had a great program with students from Iona Preparatory School last week! Everyone engaged in lively conversations about community needs and services, the misconceptions teenagers and seniors have about each other. Thank you to all who came!
Earlier this week, volunteers prepared forty blankets for distribution to Westchester County families in need. The group then made several more. Volunteers engaged in conversations about preparation for college and service needs in the community.

Last week was very busy for YSOP Connex with three intergenerational service projects. Fifteen students and twelve senior citizens made blankets to distribute to the The Sharing Shelf in Port Chester and the after-school program at the New Rochelle YMCA.
