As conflicts escalate across the globe, a shocking number of girls & boys fall victim to sexual violence.
Children must never be targets in war.
Protecting them is a legal & moral imperative for every combatant & every country.

Ahead of #WorldRefugeeDay, we stand firm.
❌We say NO to detention camps, NO to #ICE in Europe, NO to outsourcing our responsibility, and NO to the new return regulation agreed this week.
#HumanRights are not up to cherrypicking.

💬🇪🇸As Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez said, “Hope is a political responsibility”.

🇮🇪We were in Dublin with the @EU_EESC for the Extraordinary Bureau meeting to plan the months ahead!
We look forward to hearing Ireland's Council Presidency priorities for the next six months.
In Paris at the end of a busy week launching my new book: The Common Good Economy. Amazing job to PSE World Inequality Lab for organising the World Inequality Conference, and wonderful to share the book with two great economists @PikettyWIL and @BrankoMilan.
Our biggest challenges — from inequality to climate to health — require serious economic frameworks: redistribution of wealth, and the ex-ante structuring of economic relationships so that the common good is a design principle, not a correction after the fact.
This Sunday was the deadline for EU countries to turn the Pay Transparency Directive into national law.
Only 3 out of 27 member states made it.
Pay transparency can't wait. EU countries should transpose the Directive now!
