@taobanker Hmm $PWON.IJ and $AVIA.IJ will depend on lower interest rates to get going. We are headed for elevated interest rates for some time although there will be moments for easing
$HMSP.IJ and $INTP.IJ are great picks. I prefer $VNM.VN to $ULTJ.IJ
@saku_yamag9129 If you have access through ur local library to magazines or newspapers from 1998, pls check it out. 🇮🇩 today is not in a 1998 scenario. National debt is not excessive, there is decent growth and we are in the midst of a commodity upcycle
time to keep adding. will progressively add state banks into the mix - priced in USD, we haven't seen banks at this level since COVID
$INTP.IJ $INDF.IJ $HMSP.IJ $BBRI.IJ $BMRI.IJ
Yesterday, we were hit again by Moody’s rating. Danantara’s negative outlook spooked the market. The escalation in Iran and the Rupiah nearing 18,000 created panic, pushing the IHSG further away from the 6,286 weekly pivot level.
Pertanyaannya sederhana:
bisa kah pejabat kita meniru ini
kalo yang atas kasih contoh
harusnya bisa gk sih?
I call this the “fake wealth” cycle
Most Singaporeans view property as the only way of wealth accumulation
“Oh, I have this HDB that I can sell for $1.5M which means I can buy a $2M condo which will go even higher”
What most Singaporeans don’t realise is that when you ‘sell high’, chances are that you buy high
What ends up happening is a cycle of continuous mortgage and a perpetual debt cycle
You think you’re getting millions for your property, but you’re actually just maintaining the same amount of debt, for your time
Shortsightedness has killed many of the people I know and before they know it, they’re forced to work for an employer till they’re 65 just so they can pay off their $2M condo, and their $400K continental car
may need to avoid the commodity players for now until this centralised export entity situation gets clearer. will stick with the MNCs and food players for now...
$HMSP.IJ $INTP.IJ $INDF.IJ $BNGA.IJ
not sure how the govt vs oligarch war will end, but the $USDIDR will be the likely casualty. question is does IHSG rally to compensate the weakness in the currency?

@ChatibBasri Hmm wouldn't this be a very short-sighted view of it?🇯🇵 tried explaining it that way and now their debt/GDP is 230%!
DSR/Revenue lets the nation live to fight another day but debts ultimately accumulate and interest rates don't stay low forever. Trade surpluses can disappear
Don't want to dunk on Singapore, but with the AI Engineer conference being in town, my timeline is flooded with delusional takes.
The reality is that Singapore is mostly a trading hub. It's incredibly well-run, tax-friendly and great for young families. But it isn't some sort of technological utopia.
The density of talent, ambition, and success is nowhere near what you would find in SF, NYC, London or Beijing.
"But it's a massive market for Nvidia and Claude!". Yeah, it's a pass-through for China. How do you think the Chinese got their hands on AI chips? How do you think they distill models from OpenAI and Anthropic?
"But what about Manus?". You mean the Chinese company? Whose founders are currently barred from leaving Beijing?
For tech companies, Singapore is mostly a sales office for APAC. They may have some FDEs and devrels, but they don't do serious product or research work here.
