i think everyone agrees on a) lowering barriers to entry/leveling the playing field and b) paying people what their time is worth. if you're upset about a mentorship costing too much, consider that a mentorship of that caliber is more value for money at higher levels, not entry

and yes, we live in a capitalist society and inequalities exist. if you are rich, you don't have to worry about whether things are "worth the money" or not.

but the solution is not to ask mentors for free labour (esp usually in art, which is already underpaid as a whole)
