Vous fonderez pas parce que vous célébrez une fête catholique. Et non, ça ne dénature pas l'aspect Québécois de l'affaire. Saint Jean Baptiste est le Saint Patron des Canadiens Français.

St. Therésè never touched the Eucharist or the tabernacle because no one other than a priest was ever allowed to do so until the 1970s. A Sacristan in 1890 is a very different thing than a Sacristan in 2026.

Attacking Champlain in the name of “reconciliation” makes no sense.
He built Quebec on a basis of conciliatory relationships with indigenous people.
Champlain had genuine respect for indigenous people and approached their cultures and language with curiosity and admiration.
