I was so excited to see Brussels and Paris in TwoSet's tour list, I'm so heartbroken they've now been removed 😭
As things are, I'm not sure I'll be attending this tour. I could probs make it to the Amsterdam show but idk if I want to spend so much time and money in travel...

@pamethos1 My hope is that they're just having scheduling difficulties and will add them back later. I wish they would communicate about it tho, at least to make things clear about what to expect.

More srsly tho that vid threw me back to the time I tried a bunch of violins to buy one and my teacher added the cheap one I started on in the mix. The difference was so stark (despite the much smaller price gap than in TS's vid) I knew from the first note haha.

I love that I'm now familiar enough with violins that I clocked them trolling with the $1 vs $1,000,000 test immediately 😂

They played the 2nd movement of Bach's 2nd violin concerto for the encore, and after the break the orchestra played Mendy's 5th symphony. Both were pretty awesome 😄

All in all a fun night :)

The original swapper went backstage to change the concertmaster's string, but for some reason didn't come back for a long time (left before 1st mvmt cadenza and came back near end of 2nd mvmt). He and last guy kept each other's violins for the rest of the concerto and the encore.

I'm really loving the imposed work. It's especially fun to see what each finalist does with the improvisation section x)

I don't think the audience prize will be very objective this year, the Belgian audience is way too happy with the first Belgian piano finalist in 18 years 😂
