Hakim Andi menilai tidak ada cukup alat bukti yang meyakinkan mengenai adanya niat jahat (mens rea) maupun perbuatan pidana (actus reus) yang dilakukan oleh Nadiem. Persidangan tidak menemukan bukti bahwa Nadiem menerima uang, hadiah, atau aliran dana dari proyek pengadaan laptop Chromebook tersebut.
Menurut Hakim Andi, peristiwa kebijakan pengadaan laptop, kerugian negara, dan investasi Google di PT GoTo adalah tiga hal terpisah yang tidak memiliki hubungan sebab-akibat (causal connection) yang kuat sebagai tindak pidana korupsi.

Karena dianggap tidak terbukti bersalah secara sah dan meyakinkan, Hakim Andi menyatakan Nadiem harus dibebaskan dan dipulihkan harkat, martabat, serta berhak atas right to be forgotten (hak untuk dilupakan).

Maksym, a 13-year-old boy from Ukraine’s Rivne Oblast, has died. He was wounded in a Russian attack on the region on 9 October and had been in critical condition. The head of the Rokytne community, Hryhorii Tarhonskyi, reported his death.

“For almost a full day, doctors fought for the life of the 13-year-old boy. All that time, people prayed, hoping for a miracle, believing the child could be saved,” Tarhonskyi said.

Everyone waited for good news, and everyone hoped that, despite everything, the boy would live.

"Sadly, the miracle did not happen. Sadly, the miracle did not happen. Despite the doctors’ efforts, his life ended," he wrote on social media.

Maksym will be buried on 11 October in the village of Buda.

Tarhonskyi had earlier said that after the attack, eight people sought help, most with shrapnel wounds. A 12-year-old girl, Khrystyna, was taken to the hospital in Rivne, and doctors were fighting for Maksym’s life.
