The Independent National Electoral Commission has fixed today, 9 October 2026, as the start date for nationwide collection of Permanent Voter’s Cards.
The exercise covers newly registered voters, as well as those who transferred their registration or need replacements for lost or damaged cards.
Collection is strictly personal, not by proxy, and will take place at INEC Local Government offices.
Eligible voters are advised to confirm their registration status and designated collection centres through INEC's official channels before visiting.
Collecting your PVC is the practical step that allows you to vote in the 2027 general elections. Share this notice with family and friends so no eligible voter is left out.

* Your town and the station
* The price per litre
* Whether it has changed since your last purchase at that station
You can also share a receipt, with personal details covered.

One of the first things H.E. Seyi Makinde did when he assumed office, making it symbolic during his inauguration ceremony, was to announce that the N3,000 levy paid by parents for their children's education had been removed, and he declared free education.

Since you are so knowledgeable about this new "discount" not subsidy. Help us answer these 5 questions ...
1. How much will we pay for petrol?
Government says petrol will be cheaper for 30 days.
But cheaper by how much?
Tell us the new price and what happens when the 30 days end.
2. How much does the petrol cost NNPC?
Government says NNPC will sell petrol “at cost”.
How much does NNPC pay to buy the petrol and bring it to the station?
Show us the figures.
3. Who pays the extra money?
The plan says fuel sellers will cover extra costs now and get their money back later.
But what if fuel stays expensive?
Who pays then?
4. Will we pay less when fuel costs less?
If fuel becomes cheaper, will our price drop too?
Or will sellers keep charging more to get back the money they lost before?
5. Will bus fares come down?
If bus drivers buy cheaper petrol, will they charge us less?
Or will petrol cost them less while our fares stay the same?
