It appears that Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet has entered one of the final stages of development.

Job listings from Naughty Dog indicate that part of the work on the project is now focused on quality assurance (QA), playtesting, bug fixing, and preparing the final build.

QA is the process in which a game is repeatedly tested to identify and resolve bugs, crashes, level issues, animation problems, subtitle errors, and other issues before release.

🔹 Additionally, filming for the game’s cinematic sequences reportedly wrapped in August 2026, while previous reports suggested an internal target of mid-2027 for release.

🔹 Taken together, these signs suggest that the game is currently in the final production, QA, bug-fixing, and polishing phase, meaning it may not be too far from its final version.
