@Liverpotlian@esidery There’s a little girl in Toronto named Drake who’d throw a tantrum if anyone from the Raptors even got a little friendly with Deebo
@gritty4ever@pelinkaburner As someone who grew attached to the Lakers, I hope I’m wrong. But deep down, I think we all know this roster still isn’t enough. The fact they’re still pushing for Kuminga says it all. Even they know what they’ve got right now isn’t enough.
@SDULakers@CanWeTalkLakers What has Kessler actually done in the playoffs to make you this confident? He hasn’t even proven he can stay on the floor in a postseason series. Jalen Duren was the “next big thing” too, and people cooled off real quick. Projecting potential isn’t the same as proven impact.
@SVC0909@RatioNChill That Finals Mavs team had legit defenders: PJ, DJJ, Lively and Gafford. Compare that to this roster. Who’s taking the toughest wing every night? Being athletic isn’t the same as being a good defense.
@swervo111@sick3stgaming@WITNESSKJ That's not how the cap works. LeBron's $57.6M salary didn't become $57.6M in cap space. The Lakers already had money committed elsewhere, so the actual space they gained was much smaller
@A2ZSTK@Markkern111@RealSkipBayless Sure, they probably had a contingency plan.
Problem is it looks worse than just keeping LeBron. If your backup plan ends with overpaying for players you could've gotten anyway, maybe it wasn't a good plan.
@A2ZSTK@Markkern111@RealSkipBayless If that's true, it makes even less sense. They ended up in basically the same cap situation they would've had with LeBron. Going all in for Kessler just screams they were scrambling after he left, not following a plan.
@sick3stgaming@WITNESSKJ Why can't y'all just admit the Lakers messed up badly? Nobody's saying they can't be good. The point is they made things harder for themselves. If this same roster makes the WCF, cool. That still doesn't change the fact they could've had these same players and LeBron.
