I spent 3 hours playing Gamma Emerald Early Access.
A single developer is rebuilding Hoenn from scratch in Unreal Engine 5.

These are the 3 things I liked most:
▪️ A day/night cycle
▪️Seeing classic pixel characters running around a 3D Hoenn
▪️ Trading, breeding & rematches

The visuals pulled me in, but the extra systems made it feel like a real remake rather than a visual demo.
