@TiborPNagyJr As the people of Ethiopia celebrate Timket, those of the USA are celebrating Martin Luther King Holiday & its impact on American & the world. We're also celebrating the return to public service of Hon Tibor Nagy in the new administratn of Potus Donal J Trump.@Potus_47th,@JDVance
Any experts out there on Cameroon's Constitution? What does it say about succession in case the President leaves office (by whatever means) before finishing the full term? Who takes over and how soon are new elections required? (Assuming the Gov would follow the Constitution.)
If a new Govt emerges in Cameroon, it would present a golden opportunity for justice for Southern Cameroonians. To take advantage, Ambazonian factions should present a united front to a new Yaoundé Govt in testing its willingness to engage seriously on Southern Cameroon's future.
The Cameroon Govt could end all speculation about Prez Biya’s health with a (non doctored) photo or video. Otherwise rumors will intensify. The people have a right to know - it’s their country.
@Keir_Starmer#SouthernCameroons=former #British trust territory whose independence voted on in 1961 by #UNGA Res. 1608 was never implemented & have suffered from oppressn/genocide. They celebrated their 63rd independence Day on Oct 1st. COMPLETE that process. Free them https://t.co/XRDBAY4Joe
New York, USA - Oct 6, 2024 - Double-edged sword or victory for CMR with Yang winning Presidency of 79th UNGA? God turned evil to good when Yang declared: "Only a two-state solution can end the cycle of violence...for both Palestinians & Israelis, for both Cameroun & Ambazonia!
Texas, USA- May 20, 2024 - More than just agree with Fmr Assistant Sec of State for African Affairs of the US, @TiborPNagyJr, about the incontrovertible truth of Ambazonia's independence, Ambazonians have to be intentional, strategic, & prayerfully committed. Thank you, Sir.
May 20 1972 Cameroon’s president ended the Anglophone-Francophone Federation to force a unitary state dominated by Francophones. The aftereffects of that mistake are evident today in the years-long violence and Ambazonians struggle for justice and equality. They will have it!
GABON: SO, General Brice Oligui Ngueme was named as the Transition Leader, according to the soldiers who announced this on TV much earlier.
But who is Brice Oligui Ngueme? Brice is arguably one of the most influential figures in GABON today. He heads the Republican Guard of the Gabonese presidency - this is the most powerful security unit in the country.
Brice is the son of a military officer. He trained at the Royal Military Academy of Meknes, in Morocco. Brice went from serving as an “aides-de-camp” to becoming a commander in the former president Omar Bongo’s Republican Guard, until the former president’s death in 2009.
When Omar Bong’s son, Ali Bongo rose to power in October of 2009, Nguema was sent to Morocco and Senegal for diplomatic missions. A decade later, he took over as the head of the guard. Military officers of the guard he took over are recognized by their green berets, and are responsible for presidential security. As head of the guard, Nguema did his best to fortify Gabon’s internal security systems with reforms that were seen as elongating Bongo’s stay in power. Nguema was said to have even composed a song that included this line: “I would defend my president with honor and loyalty.” So Brice was truly loyal.
But when in October of 2018 the president suffered a bad stroke that left him terribly weakened, things began to take a turn for the worse. Everyone expected he would honorably resign and take care of his poor health, but no! With France’s encouragement, he stayed on, even when he could hardly walk. The Gabonese people were tired of seeing him and infuriated at the fact that he kept winning elections.
During an interview with Le Monde on Wednesday, Ngueme echoed those sentiments: “Beyond this discontent, there is the illness of the head of state. Everyone talks about it, but no one takes responsibility. He did not have the right to serve a third term. The constitution was violated, the method of election itself was not good. So the army decided to turn the page, to take its responsibility,” Nguema said.
There was supposed to be a meeting of the Generals to decide on a successor for Ali Bongo. When and how that will happen after his appointment as the Transition Council head is unknown. What is know is that his comrades love him, and are already calling him “President!” In an incredible twist of fate occasioned by colonial Europe’s “democratic” misadventures on the continent, Africans are suddenly choosing military rule over civilian ones, at least under the circumstances. The days and weeks ahead are heavily pregnant.
Viva AFRICA!
GABON: ALLEGEDLY, suitcases and bags filled with bundles of banknotes - CFA francs, dollars and euros were found in Yann Ngulu’s house. Yann Ngulu is the chief of staff of Nourredine Bongo, eldest son of deposed President Ali Bongo.
Note: Unlike the proposed BRICS currency, none of those “toilet paper” banknotes is backed with gold or any previous metal, not even with the Manganese that GABON has in abundance. And for those worthless pieces of colored papers, the colonials were able to convince our people to steal from, main and kill their own kind in order to sell our collective birthrights to their European slave masters.
Africa was indeed terminally Ill, but healing has come and the giant is awake. This is our time! May affliction never rise a second time.
Viva!
@jcokechukwu For rapid emancipation, these are pertinent questions to ask ourselves. For far too long, we accepted the systemic characterisation placed on us, which still affects us today. Why is that?👇🏾
BREAKING: JAMAICA TO BECOME A REPUBLIC!
In 2021, Barbados dumped the British crown and became a Republic. Today, Jamaica is finalizing arrangements to dump King Charles III as its Head of State and become a Republic too. Belize Prime Minister, John Briceno recently told The Guardian newspaper it was “quite likely” his country would be the next Commonwealth realm to become a republic, after Barbados did so in 2021. It’s looking now like Jamaican is about to beat Belize to it. But both countries are determined to break free from this age long colonial stranglehold.
Like 12 other Commonwealth countries outside Britain - including Australia, Canada and New Zealand - these Caribbean countries retain constitutional monarchy system of government and all have King Charles 3 (formerly Queen Elizabeth 2) as their head of state, which means that every head of government in those countries is regarded as a “local governor-general” performing duties on behalf of the Queen, now the King. So you are just standing in the gap for the real head of state, which is the King! This is what Barbados did away with to become a republic in 2021. Jamaica and Belize are now very close to doing away with it as well.
Tell me something isn’t going on with the children of AFRICA all over the world. Tell me Mama AFRICA hasn’t arisen with vengeance in her bones to take back everything that was stolen from her. It’s indeed an interesting time to be alive and I am grateful to witness it.
Go Jam-Belize!
