Empowering Mizoram's Farmers: National Livestock Mission
We are thrilled to announce our partnership with the Government of Mizoram to implement the National Livestock Mission. Officially launched on February 10, 2026, by the Hon'ble Minister for Animal Husbandry & Veterinary, Pu C. Lalsawivunga, this initiative marks a significant step towards securing the livelihoods of farmers across the state.
An agreement was signed between the Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Department and National Insurance Company Limited (NICL) to provide essential insurance coverage for livestock. The initial phase aims to insure 4,545 animals, offering financial security and peace of mind to the farming community.
The mission was realized through the proactive initiatives of Hon'ble Chief Minister Pu Lalduhoma, who engaged with the Central Government, while NICL officials presented the scheme's details and felicitated the dignitaries during the launch event.
