Omg!!!!!!! Korean female author Han Kang has become the first female writer from Asia to win the Nobel Prize in Literature! This achievement carries immense symbolic significance. For a long time, established male Korean authors have been promoting misogynistic and outdated literature, portraying it as a reflection of Korean sentiment while praising each other’s work. The media often fueled expectations that one of these male authors might win the Nobel Prize in Literature. Yet, the first Korean author to be chosen for this honor was, as many anticipated, a woman. Many Korean women have long believed that female authors would resonate more strongly on the global stage. Of course, Korean incel men have mocked and criticized Han Kang, labeling her as a feminist writer. But tonight, I am truly happy.
