Chief Minister Shri @revanth_anumula has expressed deep shock over the death of senior IPS officer and Haryana Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Y Puran Kumar by suicide. Strongly condemning the atrocities against the oppressed communities, the Chief Minister said that the forced death of an IPS officer was a glaring example of the attacks in the name of caste.
The CM noted that the pathetic living conditions of common people can be understood after an ADGP level officer was harassed on caste lines. CM Revanth Reddy expressed serious concern over such intolerable incidents and warned that the hatred towards oppressed communities will poison the society.
These kinds of disgraceful incidents will drive people towards losing faith in the Constitution, Equality and Justice, the CM said calling upon everyone to vehemently condemn such attacks on the oppressed communities. It was not only an assault on an IPS officer Puran Kumar but also the entire country and people should think of it as a serious issue.
CM Revanth Reddy conveyed his deepest condolences to the bereaved family members. The CM asserted that injustice and inhumanity should not be tolerated irrespective of the status of a person whether he or she is a common citizen or in a high position or from Dalit community.
