@DTSaskatoon My thought is: I use my savings in retirement and if they run out (hopefully never ) then the proceeds of my house funds my old folks home. You don’t have that money until you sell and either rent or old age home - or your kids get it cause ya died 🤑
Help the @cityofsaskatoon, along with the study team from CIMA Canada Inc., by completing this survey to better understand local uses and conditions of Circle Dr from Laurier to Idylwyld.

@DTSaskatoon You can borrow money from your home equity line of credit to use for investments (not rrsp or tfsa) and write off the interest - it is a good but risky way to accelerate your investments and wealth. If you have the stomach for it.
@RevRobYXE Hi Robert - I shop the confederation suburban area and live in ward 2 - we are also affected - and although your survey is geared to residents in ward 3 - ward 2 is also affected. Safety of the communities of ward 2 and 3 is less than other areas of the city.
@MattYoungCTV Bet it’s on the west side - bet we don’t hear the location till it is close to summer so no one hardly complains.
Same old city administration tricks again. @RevRobYXE
@awallace1961 Did you notice the cars are no longer using two lanes and so the amount of cars is reduced by half in busy periods so is this a fair comparison?
@cynthiaformayor I legitimately don’t understand what @cynthiaformayor is proposing - do we get residents from all wards in a room or their community associations and hammer out where in each ward shelters are gonna go?
Who would volunteer for this?
All I can see residents saying - “NIMBY”
@TheStarPhoenix I find this article very hurtful and unhelpful to the plight of the fairhaven residents.
It is disturbing to hear a reporter disparaging a pastor in a public paper - @thinktankSK have you met the pastor?
Until someone lives near one of these shelters they have no idea
@ctvregina I’m not sure the one the city of Saskatoon approved is going to be any better.
Hopefully our elections in the fall will result in some councillors that take residents concerns seriously. And vote accordingly

@Glyph_of_Doom@TheStarPhoenix We would be lucky to get half the service for the same money. Look at garbage collection - it went to every 2 weeks - year round and an increase in cost and option for smaller bins. This city only spends - never saves.
@TheStarPhoenix That’s not $4M for the solar farm - it is an additional $4M to bring it in at over $8 million. And we’re borrowing again !!! Another project the city is attempting that will likely cost us more than it brings in. Landfill gas project comes to mind.
@DTSaskatoon@TheStarPhoenix It hasn’t been written off by everyone. Some city and province leaders for sure but some of us still call it home and feel it’s worth fighting for. Even if it’s a losing battle. Raised my kids here and hard to leave all the memories.
