After my brother Mashal Khan’s lynching, my education was stopped for a year, but my dreams could not be silenced.
Journalism was Mashal’s passion. I promised to continue the journey he couldn’t finish.
Today, I graduate in Journalism. A promise made, a promise fulfilled. ❤️

Yesterday, the family was suddenly asked to come meet Bushra Imran at 9am today, with no explanation. However, I had already been hearing from reliable sources that she was unwell and might require surgery.
When the family met her this morning, they realized she was being brought back from the hospital — she had undergone surgery overnight.
For days, she had been in severe pain and had even lost vision in one eye. Yet, a doctor was only called a day before. When finally examined, doctors raised urgent alarm: she had already suffered complete vision loss due to retinal detachment and needed immediate surgery.
She has now gone through a major eye operation.
A couple of weeks ago, I had shared doctors’ warnings from her jail medical reports — that she urgently needed laser treatment or risk retinal detachment. But for the past two months, family visits were blocked, leaving us with no updates on her condition.
This surgery requires continuous care and close monitoring by specialists. So why was she brought back to jail — to be left alone in an insect-infested cell? How is she supposed to avoid infection in such conditions?
Just imagine, for a moment, the pain we feel when even something minor gets into our eye. She has undergone major eye surgery… and now she is alone, without care or support.
It is truly heartbreaking.

This @realmadrid team, without a miracle, is a mid-table laliga team. That miracle only ever arrives in Champions League. Hope it does this time again. But its just a hope. They are really not good enough or disciplined enough to win week in week out. #Realmadrid

Between 2023 and 2025, Israel killed 1,221 Palestinians in the West Bank, including 263 minors. The vast majority were killed by military fire, with 31 shot by settler militias.
Since the beginning of the year, Israel has killed 24 Palestinians in the West Bank. Of these, 18 were shot by Israeli military forces and 6 by settler militias.
Under Israel’s apartheid regime, Palestinian lives continue to be treated as entirely expendable.
1/5 The @thetimes runs a full article with stats implying #Muslims get more favourable treatment than #Jews from the criminal justice system.
In the final paragraph it quotes £73.4m in govt security funding for religious groups without disaggregating. Why?

Never seen a state more in contradiction to itself than what Pakistan is at the moment:
Condemning US/Israel bombing on Iran
Also condemning Iran's bombing of Gulf Countries
Meanwhile itself bombing Afghanistan relentlessly.
If the goal is to push back on terrorism, how does bombing or destabilising the fragile regime in Afghanistan help that? It will only 10x the problem.
This makes one question: What is it that Pakistan is actually aiming for in Afghanistan? And who is it for? Because there is no way it serves Pakistan’s interest.
