Self-taught entrepreneur, started with no money & now sharing my journey of building a successful online marketing agency and mastering my lifestyle development
I quit school when I was 19.
Wanted to become a film director.
Became a marketing freelancer.
I generated over $5M for businesses.
But was struggling financially myself.
Now I'm building my own online business.
I had no one to teach me.
That's why I'll share my experience.
The best way to master sales: Jump in calls
The best way to master Facebook ads: Jump into ads manager run ads
The best way to master copywriting: Write conversion-focused copy daily
The best way to master anything: Actually do it

@wizofecom You need the discipline to constantly battle your own weaknesses.
Eventually you become comfortable in uncomfortable situations, which will reward you with growth.
Today I closed my first client for a $ 3.000 monthly retainer.
It took me 2 years to be able to close a client in 7 days.
I learned from mistakes I have made and many others who try to build an online agency.
Now I am building a strategy off of that.
And sharing it!
@AlexHormozi I always got this wrong.
I thought you need the perfect plan to start.
Now I know, its better to start as an amateur and become better with time.
My "productive routine" went to shit because I was sick.
But I remembered @AlexHormozi saying, being dependend on routines to be succesful makes you weaker.
I went back in today best as I could. FREESTYLE.
Still managed to set 3 Sales Calls and a discovery call.

Day 7
I figured over the weekend, sales is a numbers game.
So I more than doubled my outreach today:
Went from a daily avg. of 50 calls and 5 discovery calls
to
130 calls and managed to set 10 discovery calls!
This will also increase the % of potential closes.
Day 6
I now have 2 Sales Calls next week
The discovery calls went smooth because:
- I gathered as much info about them as possible
- told them my story to build trust
- explained my strategy in return to establish expertise
- used their info as leverage
Next week will beπ₯
Day 5
Sales is not about convincing.
Focus on people that actually want your help.
It's way more rewarding.
I cold called 48 businesses.
Talked to 42 people.
Reached 14 decision makers.
And landed 3 discovery calls today.
Tomorrow I will have my first two discovery calls!
I am done being a freelancer for good..
Why?
- Hourly pay makes you comparable.
- You can only serve so many customers.
- No reliable income
- All your time goes to fulfillment
You are not free.
"I would rather earn 1% of 100 peopleβs efforts than 100% of my own efforts"
I've tried to sell lead-gen services to couple hundred real estate agents..
It was frustrating..
I realized:
You can't invent value in the buyer's mind if it doesn't already exist.
You can only make them realize the value by asking questions and align them with your services.
Day 4
I cold called 57 businesses.
Talked to 25 people.
Reached 20 decision makers.
Managed to set 5 discovery calls this time!
I learned:
You don't need to name every benefit/feature you have.
Find out what the prospect thinks is the biggest pain and capitalize on that!
When reaching out to potential clients try to get your foot in the door.
Don't ask if they need online marketing services.
Ask: can you take on more client orders?
Make them curious what you are about.
Then you can offer them value
..which they will get on a call with you ;)
Day 3
I cold called 60 businesses.
Talked to 54 people.
Reached 22 decision makers.
I set 2 discovery calls where I explain my service in detail and see if we are both a good fit.
I learned:
Qualifying a Prospect is important, so you don't waste time with window shoppers.
There is no secret to getting leads for your agency.
1. Niche down
2. Solve clients problem
3. Some type of outreach
I tried many things like cold mails, loom messages, social media posts, insta messages.
But nothing "worked".
It's always consistency.
Getting clients through social media is great.
But..
it can be a tedious process,
especially if you want inbound leads.
Reaching out to businesses directly is the fastest way for your initial cashflow.
I got 4 leads on my 2nd day trough cold calling.
Not bad for a friday.
56 hours of content
23 e-books
4 months of cold calling myself
$ 8k spend on "sales agents"
2.000 cold mails
Nothing worked.
After I changed my sales script completely:
5 Leads on the first day!
You do not have to do anything extraordinary but the normal extraordinary well.
So this is where I'm financially at right now..
I think this is the lowest since I was in school.
Motivation I have plenty.
Now I will have the discipline.
I literally can't afford anything else.
No one will fulfill my dreams for me.
So how will I go from here?
Stay tuned!
I lost my only two clients today.
Why? Both of them are lacking clients and can't afford me anymore.
Obviously I was not responsible for their lead-gen lol.
Biggest lesson for me:
As a company you need a sustainable sales strategy!
Now it's my turn.
I will be an example.
