I lived in FL for the first 18 yrs of my life and I'm never going back. I'm thankful for growing up there prior to the recent political anti-trans explosion, and at the same time, I'm so so sad for every single kid who still lives there...
For many transgender people, it feels like the world is getting smaller with every new anti-trans law.
The Florida bathroom ban eliminates an entire area where people like me can travel freely and exist.

As if Florida wasn’t going far enough with the bathroom ban, they just passed SB254, which bans gender affirming care for trans youth, allow noncustodial parents to get custody to detransition them, and severely curtails adult care.
I hurt for trans people in Florida.
My first-author undergrad thesis is now published! Currently halfway thru my grad program and grateful to see how far I've come since then. Thank you for all the support @Shoshana_Jarvis, @_stephanoplis, &

"What's grad school like during COVID?"
I'm now a 2nd year and this was my first ever lab event! (also still waiting to be assigned an actual office lol)
I'm super excited about this event - it's been a group effort from our Diversity Steering Committee and I will be there as well, speaking on behalf of our @UWgomap office!
Check out @UWPsychology Grad School Sneak Peek event 9/21 @ 3pm PDT. It’s an opportunity for prospective applicants (especially historically URM groups in academia) to get in-depth info about the Dept and hear from current faculty and students! https://t.co/AaFrbDZiZD
