NYC’s municipal hospital system (H+H) already offers trans care to minors. This new clinic is a pilot program for a direct no/low cost drop-in alternative outside the H+H system.
Both Mamdani and the health commissioner have said they plan to expand services to cover minors.
The NBA just did something leagues almost never do: side against one of its own owners, in his own market, during the Finals.
Live broadcast rights are the most protected asset in sports. Disney and friends paid $76B in the latest media deal partly for moments exactly like this. Bars need licenses just to show games. Yet within hours of James Dolan pulling the plug on the watch party outside his own arena, the league cleared New York City to stream Game 4 free on public street furniture.
Dolan's stated reason for canceling: a 999-person cap was an insult when "we're about millions of people."
So the city took him literally. LinkNYC runs roughly 2,000 kiosks across the five boroughs, built on the corpse of the old payphone franchise. Dolan controls the Garden. The city controls every sidewalk around it.
One detail makes the whole thing sting. MSG requested the 999-person permit itself, then canceled when it was approved.
Owners win these standoffs when they own the only screen in town. Dolan just found out the city has two thousand of them.
She is lying. Brazenly. Israel has forced over a million people (a million!) from their homes, razed entire neighborhoods to the ground, told Christian villagers to not let Shia villagers stay in their villages, and killed multiple first-responders in double tap strikes.
The Timberwolves are emerging as a potential destination for Giannis Antetokounmpo, and the Bucks would reportedly seek Jaden McDaniels, Naz Reid, Terrence Shannon Jr., and Minnesota’s two tradable first-round picks in return, per @sam_amick & @eric_nehm
“The Timberwolves, meanwhile, are also seen by some as an emerging option for the Bucks. While Antetokounmpo is known to prefer a trade involving a team in the Eastern Conference, league sources say the Bucks are interested in what Minnesota has to offer. If the Timberwolves want to get into the mix, league sources say the Bucks would want a package including Jaden McDaniels, Naz Reid, Terrence Shannon Jr. and their two tradable first-round picks (No. 29 in this year’s draft and their 2033 pick).”
