My entire Claude settings are (completely) empty.

It's the most productive Claude I've ever used:

(Yes, I'm the guy who asked to build .md files)

Open my Claude, and you'll find almost nothing.
It took me 194 days to learn.

Here's what's gone and the only 2 things left:

🗑️ Delete: The folder system.
Even when I prompt "don't check my folders," Claude still checked & got the context that I did not want it to get.

🗑️ Delete: The about-me file.
Turn the .md file into a skill. It's the same context, but now you manually invoke it (when necessary).

🗑️ Delete: Global instructions.
Do not give "AI more context." Too much context restricts Claude to think creatively.

🗑️ Delete: Every setting I could switch off.
The whole menu, off. Only Connectors stay on, but the specific ones (Gmail & Granola connectors are the ones I use heavily).

🗑️ Delete: The same prompt templates.
Turn your prompt library into a skill. Type /skill-creator in the prompt box, or type "make it a skill" in any old chat.

So what actually runs this "empty" Claude:

☑ Keep: Claude Skills.
A "/" command. My about-me file and all the other md files are saved as Claude skills- invoked only when needed.

This is my rule: write the same prompt twice? Make it a skill

☑ Keep: Projects.
One per client or repeated task or rep. Every chat inside remembers everything - the emails, past campaigns. Nothing leaks into the rest of your future chats.

That's pretty much it. Do not overcomplicate it.
