@LondonU how can you call yourself a university when I have been waiting 6 months for you to send my transcripts. This is getting to a point where it could cost me a job and prevent me from immigrating. I have read countless other similar stories online too.
No one should ever use @budgetaircouk . They never informed us of a canceled flight and do not reply to emails. They do not have a contact number to reach them at and it is impossible to get a refund for the flights that they have canceled. Criminals.
@HSBC_HK must be the worst bank for expats in Hong Kong. When the time comes to leave Hong Kong, the bank will do whatever it can to keep you from accessing your finances. It is criminal the way they treat their customers. Use Standard Chartered or Citi Bank or anything else.
@Gibbs2401@NickDelaney10 @asforan I had a student once refuse to put his shoes back on because his feet were wet. Said he would walk barefoot. Had a bit of an argument with my co teacher until she emptied her water bottle into his shoes. π
@NickDelaney10 @asforan I like to stay at the back of hiking groups usually to let students take more leadership and to ensure the group stays together at the back. On a warm day, after the group halted for the second snake on the trail that I hustled to the front to coerce off the trail, I adjusted.
Thanks for all your replies to Q1! My three words would be challenging, inspiring, and connected. Q2: What is one thing you should tell admin or insurance companies to help them understand your process to keep kids safe during OE? #OutdoorEdu520 @asforan
Hope everyone has had a lovely day and is ready for a great Twitter Chat. Q1: What are three words you would use to describe adventure? #OutdoorEdu520 @asforan
@SFAtkinson71815 @asforan OE lends itself so well to all kinds of subjects. Involving creative writing, geography, and bio through an OE expedition is such a great start.
@SFAtkinson71815 @asforan Scaffolding to empower students to lead team building would ideally involve modeling and mentoring. Students would need practice and feedback much like a pre service teacher.
@SFAtkinson71815 @asforan A: I enjoy running very open discussions or negotiation activities mediated by students with reflection guided by the instructor.
Snack spot on Mt Tibidabo got me thinking about the benefits of outdoor learning. I'd count interdisciplinary opp, collaboration, reflection, resiliency, curricular links, and relationship building. Not to mention tarpaulogy. Am I tweeting right @asforan?
@NotJeremyDunn@crysfred@themrsdixon@Candice78085272 A1 All outdoor programming involves equity issues in terms of financial and accessibility from physical challenges. For my current practice, fees are enormous and there is definitely an elitist atmosphere. It is worthwhile to make scholarship opportunities for those in need.
@NotJeremyDunn @asforan @themrsdixon@Candice78085272@crysfred Whenever I get the chance to be outside it improves my mental space. The fresh air, green colors and lack of distraction serve to reset me. If we can do that with a game then my competitive spirit ensures I make the most of the experience.
