Private sales are a great way of using our network infrastructure in the racing world.
Considering our only private sale to date was Tuco Salamanca - an unraced 2yo Belardo colt who now as a 4yo is rated 99, accrued near 94k in prizemoney and is the 17th highest rated horse the stallion has ever produced (on BHA ratings).

We like to only source horses privately where we feel we have a much bigger edge than when at auction.

And with this lad - we have that edge, as time will tell.

So - we have added a private purchase to our unraced ranks for the 2026 season. Who’s full brother is two from two & looks a pattern class performer on every day ending with a ‘Y’. (We also purchased the half-sister in the Dec Mares sale!)

He will be joining his brother at Craven House, under the care of dual Guineas winning trainer George Boughey’s.

Myself and George have been in frequent discussions about this horse and after a long call this morning, decided to get the deal done.

Physically, George says he is an extremely similar model to Protection Act. He isn’t going to be a ‘whiz-bang’ speedy 2yo, but an individual who adds some class to our team going forwards.

Dave has been keeping an extremely close eye on this horse as he has been at Dave’s Rochestown Lodge stud for the last month and said:

‘He will be the best looking horse we’ve had yet.’

‘We have to buy him.’

Protection Act was purchased for 160,000gns as a yearling, so we may have even got a bit of value if this lad can follow in his brothers footsteps.

We are VERY excited to add him to our ranks. So much so, that there will only be limited availability in him. We are only offering syndication for 25%, as we have kept a majority, alongside some of our clients.

The Dam, Privacy Order, was a Chevely Park mare raced by Sir Mark Prescott back in 2012. Although she herself wasn’t a winner - two thirds of her progeny have won a race, with over 44% of them recording a 90+ RPR.

Tuco Salamanca was moved up to an Official Rating of 99 this morning.

He was first given a handicap mark of 61, meaning since his wind-op he has improved a whopping 38lbs. He has also picked up a healthy £93,642 in prize money.

A dream syndicate horse - Tuco alongside Oliver Show are two horses sourced in our first two years of operating which were picked up for less than £35,000 and have reached a peak OR of 99 or better.

Tuco is our first & only private purchase syndicate horse sourced to date. Safe to say shares in the next one won’t be available for long.

This year we have registered all of our two-year olds for a couple of Goffs bonus schemes and sales races.

Our Twilight Son Filly with Ollie Sangster is registered for the Goffs Two Million Series. Registering a horse for the Goffs Two Million Series offers significant commercial and competitive advantages to the ownership experience.

1. Access to Exceptional Prize Money

The series is built around high-value races, including the headline €2,000,000 contests staged at premier meetings such as the Irish Champions Festival. Having a registered horse gives you eligibility to compete for some of the richest prize funds available to graduates of European breeze-up and yearling sales.

Not to mention the wide range of maiden and novice races, which are also a part of this scheme. A Goffs Two Million Series novice or maiden is worth a whopping €50,000 to the winner! Ollie managed to pick up one of these races last year also.

Our first 2 year old with Eve!

He was extremely popular at our recent open morning where the remaining shares in him were quickly snapped up.

PV partner Dave Byrne, who oversaw his breaking & pre training in Ireland, was very complimentary about this colt both on a physical & mental note.

Since arriving back to the UK from Ireland, he has settled in great at Eve’s Woodway Stables.

We look forwards to seeing what the season holds for his owners!
