Slice of Heaven playing over the SoFi Stadium loudspeaker after the All Whites score to go ahead in a World Cup game is a scenario that couldn’t even exist in the back of my most fried and deluded kiwi sports fan brain. What a time.
@AFrazzledScot I catered an event at the STV building for delegates of COP, they were telling me how brilliant our transport system was with our integrated cards to get people around and couldn't believe it when I told them that they were only available to delegates. It was embarrassing
@TheFor35718@Chasmanthium@implausibleblog@narindertweets I mean you're the right wing account currently so triggered that you're trying to justify Reform's loss by pointing to a (losing) doubling of the boat) vote to a leftist twitter account. But sure, the leftists are the snowflakes. Don't get too close to the radiator, sunshine
@pineynz@mikeburgess99 Oh of course, that makes total sense. NZF continuing to make the sensible decisions that I never thought I would see in my lifetime!
@TheKiwiBildo@Scrivy2 Exactly, fill a smaller ground and create a better atmosphere week to week (not to mention the savings from not paying for an empty Sky Stadium), use Sky Stadium for marquee fixtures (Auckland home and playoffs)
@KiwiLad8 @YoungHeartHM What are the board doing to stimulate crowd growth? I've been saying for at least ten years that there should've been a regular policy of kids go free with an adult every single home game, the growth in the regular match going fan base would've been exponential
Wow, sounds like the Prime Minister should take the concerns of those suddenly mobile left-wing voters who could scupper his second term seriously then.
@TheAthleticFC@JordanC1107 I'm no fan of this competition at all. But Auckland being in it is a rare positive point, by being allowed to compete here they get a seat at the top table and a share of the funds. To expand this competition and lock them out would just mean more money for big nations
@TheAthleticFC@JordanC1107 The money they receive for this tournament will not only fund a local school's pitch, but be distributed around the league to lift all clubs. This is the point of allowing teams from all around the world the chance to compete in this competition
