UPS pisses me off. Have a package that requires a signature. Says will be delivered between 6pm - 8pm. Driver shows up at 11am when I am not home.

Work from home the next day so I don't miss the driver.... Doesn't show up until almost 7pm.

Even worse, it targets lower income people who normally can't afford the product and can trap them in a lease cycle.

The amount of people who are excited for Apple's new leasing program shows how a large majority of people are not financially literate.

You are not saving money by using it, if anything, you are spending more money than if you owned and sold your own device.

@SnazzyLabs I did the math assuming the iPhone 17 holds its value similarly to the 15 after two years. If you want to upgrade every two years, it is cheaper to buy the phone outright or finance, then sell it after 2 years.

If you can already afford it outright or financing, it’s not that different.

For those who can’t normally afford it, it’s a financial trap

The gamers who are switching to SteamOS/Bazzite are the most annoying larpers.

Critical thinking and problem solving skills are being absolutely demolished by AI.

I am seeing people open Claude and ChatGPT the second they run into the slightest inconvenience, and then do whatever the AI tells them without even contemplating it for a second.
